இந்தியர்களை மீட்ட ‘ஆபரேஷன் கங்கா’… மோகன்லால் நடிப்பில் விஷ்ணு மோகன் இயக்கும் பிரம்மாண்ட திரைப்படம்

ரஷ்யா – உக்ரைன் போரின்போது உக்ரைனில் சிக்கிய இந்தியர்களை பாதுகாப்பாக மீட்டு அழைத்து வர இந்தியா மேற்கொண்ட மிகப்பெரிய மீட்புப் பணியான ‘ஆபரேஷன் கங்கா’ தற்போது வெள்ளித்திரைக் கதையாக உருவாகிறது. மோகன்லால் நடிப்பில், விஷ்ணு மோகன் இயக்கும் இந்தப் படத்திற்கு ‘ஆபரேஷன் கங்கா’ என பெயரிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

ஸ்ரீ கோகுலம் மூவீஸ் சார்பில் கோகுலம் கோபாலன் தயாரிக்கும் இப்படத்திற்கு விஷ்ணு மோகன் கதை, திரைக்கதை எழுதி இயக்குகிறார். பைஜு கோபாலன் மற்றும் வி.சி. பிரவீன் இணை தயாரிப்பாளர்களாகவும், கிருஷ்ணமூர்த்தி நிர்வாக தயாரிப்பாளராகவும் பணியாற்றுகின்றனர்.

L367 என தற்காலிகமாக அழைக்கப்பட்டு வந்த இப்படத்தின் தலைப்பு குறித்த எதிர்பார்ப்பு ரசிகர்கள் மத்தியில் இருந்து வந்த நிலையில், தற்போது ‘ஆபரேஷன் கங்கா’ என்ற பெயர் அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இயக்குநர் விஷ்ணு மோகனுக்கு இது மூன்றாவது படம். இவரது அறிமுகப் படமான ‘மேப்படியான்’ தேசிய விருது வென்றதன் மூலம் கவனம் பெற்றது. தொடர்ந்து, முற்றிலும் மாறுபட்ட கதைக்களத்துடன் உருவாகும் இந்தப் படம் அவரது இயக்குநர் பயணத்தில் மற்றொரு முக்கியமான படமாக அமையவுள்ளது.

ரஷ்யா – உக்ரைன் போர் சூழலில் உக்ரைனில் சிக்கித் தவித்த இந்தியர்களை மீட்பதற்காக இந்தியா மேற்கொண்ட ‘ஆபரேஷன் கங்கா’ மீட்புப் பணியை மையமாகக் கொண்டு இப்படத்தின் கதை உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. உண்மைச் சம்பவங்களின் பின்னணியைக் கொண்ட இந்தப் படம், மிகப்பெரிய பொருட்செலவில் பிரம்மாண்டமான முறையில் உருவாகி வருகிறது.

படப்பிடிப்பு தற்போது ஜார்ஜியாவில் தொடங்கியுள்ளது. மோகன்லால் விரைவில் படப்பிடிப்பில் இணைகிறார். மொத்தம் 180 நாட்கள் படப்பிடிப்பு நடத்த திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. போலந்து, ஜார்ஜியா, கஜகஸ்தான், டெல்லி, டேராடூன், கொச்சி உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு இடங்களில் படப்பிடிப்பு நடைபெற உள்ளது.

மோகன்லாலுடன் பாலிவுட் நடிகர் அர்ஜுன் ராம்பால், ஆதில் ஹுசைன், பாக்யஸ்ரீ போர்ஸ், பார்த்திபன் உள்ளிட்ட முன்னணி நடிகர்களும் இணைந்துள்ளனர். இந்தியாவின் பல்வேறு பகுதிகளைச் சேர்ந்த நடிகர்கள் மட்டுமின்றி, வெளிநாடு மற்றும் பாலிவுட்டைச் சேர்ந்த கலைஞர்களும் தொழில்நுட்பக் குழுவினரும் இப்படத்தில் பணியாற்றுகின்றனர்.

படத்தின் தொழில்நுட்பக் குழுவிலும் பல முக்கியமான பெயர்கள் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன. ‘புஷ்பா 1’, ‘புஷ்பா 2’ படங்களின் ஒளிப்பதிவாளரான மிரோஸ்லாவ் குபா ப்ரோசெக் இப்படத்திற்கு ஒளிப்பதிவு செய்கிறார். ‘துரந்தர்’, ‘கில்’ உள்ளிட்ட படங்களின் ஆக்ஷன் இயக்குநர் சே யங் ஓ ஆக்ஷன் காட்சிகளை வடிவமைக்கிறார்.

‘துரந்தர்’ படத்தின் வெற்றிக்குப் பிறகு பிரபல இசையமைப்பாளர் ஷாஷ்வத் சச்தேவ் இப்படத்திற்கு இசையமைக்கிறார். ‘GOAT’, ‘மெய்யழகன்’, ‘அமரன்’, ‘கதனார்’ உள்ளிட்ட படங்களில் பணியாற்றிய ராஜீவன் புரொடக்‌ஷன் டிசைனை கவனிக்கிறார்.

எடிட்டராக ஷமீர் முகமது பணியாற்றுகிறார். ‘துரந்தர்’, ‘யூரி’, ‘3 இடியட்ஸ்’, ‘பத்மாவத்’ உள்ளிட்ட படங்களில் பணியாற்றிய பிஷ்வதீப் சட்டர்ஜி சவுண்ட் டிசைனை மேற்கொள்கிறார்.

‘காந்தாரா’ படத்தில் VFX மேற்பார்வையாளராக பணியாற்றிய கே.வி. சஞ்சித் இப்படத்தின் VFX பணிகளை கவனிக்கிறார். ‘Safed Sagar’, ‘Border 2’, ‘Fighter’ உள்ளிட்ட படங்களில் மிலிட்டரி ஆலோசகராக பணியாற்றிய Squadron Leader Verlin Panwar, இப்படத்திலும் மிலிட்டரி ஆலோசகராக இணைந்துள்ளார்.

‘Lokah’ படத்தின் காஸ்ட்யூம் டிசைனர் மெல்வி ஜே, மேக்கப் கலைஞர் ரோனெக்ஸ் சேவியர் மற்றும் புரொடக்‌ஷன் கன்ட்ரோலர் ரின்னி திவாகர் ஆகியோரும் தொழில்நுட்பக் குழுவில் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளனர்.

ஸ்ரீ கோகுலம் மூவீஸ் தயாரிப்பில் உருவாகும் முக்கியமான படங்களில் ஒன்றாக ‘ஆபரேஷன் கங்கா’ உருவாகி வருகிறது. இதனுடன் சுரேஷ் கோபி நடிக்கும் ‘ஒட்டக்கொம்பன்’, ஜெயசூர்யா நடிக்கும் ‘கதனார்’, எஸ்.ஜே. சூர்யா இயக்கும் ‘கில்லர்’ உள்ளிட்ட பிரம்மாண்டமான படங்களும் தற்போது தயாரிப்பில் உள்ளன.

‘Operation Ganga’ to Bring India’s Massive Ukraine Evacuation Mission to the Big Screen; Mohanlal to Star, Vishnu Mohan to Direct

India’s massive evacuation mission, ‘Operation Ganga’, which brought back Indian citizens stranded in Ukraine during the Russia-Ukraine war, is now set to be adapted into a feature film. Titled ‘Operation Ganga’, the film will star Mohanlal and will be directed by Vishnu Mohan.

Produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sri Gokulam Movies, the film has been written and directed by Vishnu Mohan. Baiju Gopalan and V.C. Praveen are the co-producers, while Krishnamoorthy serves as the executive producer.

The film had been temporarily referred to as ‘L367’, leading to considerable curiosity among fans about its official title. The makers have now officially announced the title as ‘Operation Ganga’.

This marks Vishnu Mohan’s third directorial venture. His debut film, ‘Meppadiyan’, won a National Award and brought him significant attention. With a completely different storyline, ‘Operation Ganga’ is expected to be another major milestone in his directorial journey.

Set against the backdrop of the Russia-Ukraine war, the film revolves around India’s massive evacuation mission to rescue Indian citizens who were stranded in Ukraine. Inspired by real events, the movie is being mounted on a grand scale with a substantial budget.

The shooting has currently commenced in Georgia, with Mohanlal set to join the team soon. The makers have planned a total of 180 days of shooting, with filming scheduled to take place across several locations, including Poland, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Delhi, Dehradun and Kochi.

Alongside Mohanlal, the film features prominent actors including Bollywood star Arjun Rampal, Adil Hussain, Bhagyashree Borse and Parthiban. The project also brings together actors and technicians from different parts of India, as well as artists and technical crew members from Bollywood and other countries.

The film boasts an impressive technical crew. Miroslaw Kuba Brozek, who served as the cinematographer for ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ and ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, is handling the cinematography.

Action sequences are being choreographed by Se-yeong Oh, known for his work on films such as ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Kill’.

Following the success of ‘Dhurandhar’, popular composer Shashwat Sachdev is composing the music for ‘Operation Ganga’. Rajeevan, who has worked on films including ‘GOAT’, ‘Meiyazhagan’, ‘Amaran’ and ‘Kathanar’, is in charge of production design.

Shameer Muhammed serves as the editor, while Bishwadeep Chatterjee, known for his work on films such as ‘Dhurandhar’, ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Padmaavat’, is handling the sound design.

K.V. Sanjith, who worked as the VFX supervisor on ‘Kantara’, is overseeing the film’s VFX. Squadron Leader Verlin Panwar, who has served as a military consultant on films including ‘Safed Sagar’, ‘Border 2’ and ‘Fighter’, has also joined the project as its military consultant.

Melvy J, the costume designer of ‘Lokah’, makeup artist Ronex Xavier, and production controller Rinni Divakar are also part of the technical team.

‘Operation Ganga’ is being developed as one of the major projects under the Sri Gokulam Movies banner. The production house is also currently working on several other ambitious projects, including ‘Ottakomban’, starring Suresh Gopi, ‘Kathanar’, starring Jayasurya, and ‘Killer’, directed by S.J. Suryah.
