Mahakali Wraps 125-Day Shoot; Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe’s Next Epic Enters Final Phase
Chennai: The much-awaited Mahakali, the next major chapter in the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU), has successfully completed an extensive 125-day shooting schedule and has now entered its final phase of production. The milestone marks a significant step forward for one of the most ambitious mythological films currently in production in Indian cinema.
Produced by Riwaz Ramesh Duggal under the RKD Studios banner and presented by RK Duggal, the film has been created by Prasanth Varma and is directed by Puja Aparna Kolluru. Designed as a grand mythological spectacle, Mahakali aims to deliver a visually immersive cinematic experience on an epic scale.
Adding to the excitement, actor Rohit Saraf has officially wrapped filming for his role, joining Akshaye Khanna, who had earlier completed shooting for his powerful portrayal of Shukracharya. The completion of the lead actors’ portions marks another important milestone in the film’s production journey.
Bhoomi Shetty plays the titular role of Mahakali, and her first-look poster, showcasing the goddess in a fierce and divine avatar, received an overwhelming response from audiences. Likewise, Akshaye Khanna’s striking first look as Shukracharya generated considerable buzz and heightened anticipation for his pivotal role within the PVCU.
Filmed specifically for the IMAX format, Mahakali promises breathtaking visuals, cutting-edge cinematic technology, and a larger-than-life theatrical experience.
