பிகே7 ஸ்டுடியோஸ் தயாரிப்பில், டாக்டர் பிரகபல் இயக்கத்தில் உருவாகியுள்ள இந்தப் படத்தின் டீசர் சமீபத்தில் பிரம்மாண்டமாக வெளியிடப்பட்டது.
மழைக்காடுகளில் நடைபெறும் மட் ரேஸ் பந்தயத்தை மையமாகக் கொண்டு உருவான ‘மட்டி’ திரைப்படத்தின் மூலம் தனித்துவமான முயற்சியை பதிவு செய்த டாக்டர் பிரகபல், இந்த முறை மதுரையின் பாரம்பரிய கலாச்சார விளையாட்டான ‘கெடா சண்டை’யை கதைக்கருவாக கொண்டு ‘ஜாக்கி’யை உருவாக்கியுள்ளார். மண் மணத்தோடும், மண்ணின் மைந்தர்களின் வாழ்வியலோடும் படம் வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இயக்குநரின் முந்தைய படமான ‘மட்டி’யில் நடித்த யுவான் கிருஷ்ணா மற்றும் ரிதான் கிருஷ்ணாஸ் இந்தப் படத்திலும் கதாநாயகர்களாக இணைந்துள்ளனர். அவர்களுக்கு ஜோடியாக அம்மு அபிராமி கதாநாயகியாக நடித்துள்ளார். மேலும் பல திரைப் பிரபலங்கள் முக்கிய வேடங்களில் தோன்றுகின்றனர்.
‘ஜாக்கி’ திரைப்படத்தின் விறுவிறுப்பான டீசர், சென்னை முகப்பேர் கிழக்கு வேலம்மாள் மேல்நிலைப் பள்ளியில் நடைபெற்ற 13-ஆவது ஆண்டு வீதி விருது விழாவில், ஜனவரி 3-ஆம் தேதி மாலை வெளியிடப்பட்டது. டீசர் திரையிடப்பட்டதும், ரசிகர்கள் மற்றும் பார்வையாளர்கள் படக்குழுவினருக்கு வாழ்த்துகளை தெரிவித்தனர்.
சக்தி பாலாஜி இசையமைப்பில், உதயகுமார் ஒளிப்பதிவில், ஸ்ரீகாந்த் படத்தொகுப்பில் உருவாகியுள்ள ‘ஜாக்கி’ திரைப்படத்திற்கு ஆர்.பி. பாலா கிரியேட்டிவ் ப்ரொடியூசராக பணியாற்றியுள்ளார்.

After earning appreciation for ‘Muddy’, India’s first film based on the intense mud racing sport set in rainforests, director Dr. Pragabhal now turns his lens towards a culturally rich and traditional sport. ‘Jockey’ is set against the backdrop of Madurai and revolves around the native sport of Keda Sandai (goat fighting), portraying the raw emotions, traditions, and lifestyle of the land and its people.

Yuvan Krishna and Ridhaan Krishnas, who were part of Dr. Pragabhal’s debut film ‘Muddy’, play the lead roles once again, while Ammu Abhirami appears as the female lead. The film also features several well-known actors in pivotal roles.

The high-energy teaser of ‘Jockey’ was launched on Saturday, January 3, during the 13th Annual Veethi Virudhu event held at Velammal Higher Secondary School, Mogappair East, Chennai. The teaser received an encouraging response, with the audience appreciating the film team’s effort.
The technical crew includes music composed by Sakthi Balaji, cinematography by Udhayakumar, and editing by Srikanth. R.P. Bala serves as the Creative Producer.
