இயக்குநர் இளன், இந்தப் படத்தின் மூலம் முதன்முறையாக கதாநாயகனாகவும் அறிமுகமாகிறார். அவருக்கு ஜோடியாக சான்வீ மேக்னா நடித்துள்ளார். சமூக வலைதளங்களில் பிரபலமான இன்ஃப்ளூயன்சராக வரும் பவி என்ற இளம் பெண், திருமணத்திற்குப் பிறகும் தனது பெற்றோர் வீட்டை விட்டு செல்ல மறுக்கிறார். இதனால், கணவரே மனைவியின் வீட்டில் குடியேற வேண்டிய சூழல் உருவாகிறது. இந்த ஒரு மாற்றமே குடும்ப உறவுகள், பாரம்பரியம், கலாச்சார மோதல்கள் மற்றும் நவீன வாழ்க்கை முறைகள் குறித்து சுவாரஸ்யமான நிகழ்வுகளுக்கு வழிவகுக்கிறது.

27 July 2026: Challenging age-old marriage traditions with a refreshing and humorous premise, Netflix has unveiled a brand-new promo for its upcoming Tamil family entertainer Pyaar Prema Kalyanam. Built around the quirky question, “Should you run away to get married, or get married and then run away?”, the promo has already begun creating buzz among audiences for its unconventional take on married life.

Directed by Elan, who also makes his acting debut as the film’s lead, Pyaar Prema Kalyanam stars Saanvee Meghana as the female lead. The story revolves around Pavi, a popular social media influencer who refuses to leave her parents’ home after marriage. In an unexpected role reversal, it is her husband who moves into her home, leading to a series of hilarious family situations, cultural clashes, emotional moments and heartwarming discoveries.

Known for his signature style of blending humour with relatable family emotions, Elan brings the same storytelling approach to his debut as an actor.
