Simbu’s ‘Arasan’ Gears Up for a Grand Diwali Release with Massive North Chennai Set
One of the most anticipated projects in Tamil cinema right now is ‘Arasan’, starring in the lead role. Directed by , the film is progressing at a brisk pace, with the makers actively preparing for a worldwide theatrical release during the upcoming Diwali festival season.
Produced by under producer , the film features an ensemble cast including , , , , and in pivotal roles. Expanding the universe of Vetrimaaran’s acclaimed , the film is said to be a high-octane commercial entertainer packed with action and intense emotions.
The first schedule of shooting was completed in Kovilpatti, while the second schedule is currently nearing completion in Chennai. Important scenes involving Silambarasan TR, Priyanka Mohan, Samuthirakani, Andrea, and Kishore are reportedly being filmed in this phase.
For the next shooting schedule, the makers have constructed a massive open-air set in a village area along the East Coast Road near Chennai. The set has reportedly recreated the atmosphere of North Chennai in a highly realistic manner. Sources close to the team claim that the set has been designed on a scale even grander and more detailed than the famous Dharavi set created for starring .
Adding to the excitement, is expected to join the third schedule of filming in the role of a police officer. Reports also suggest that the characters Rajan and Chandra from Vada Chennai, played by Ameer and Andrea respectively, could have a continuation in this film.
The team is planning to wrap up the entire shoot within the next three months, aiming firmly for a Diwali release. A recently released special promo has already generated huge buzz among fans and industry insiders, significantly increasing expectations for the film.
