இந்தப் பாடல் இந்தியா முழுவதும் வெவ்வேறு மொழிகளில் வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்தியில் ‘மதோஷ்’, கன்னடத்தில் ‘மனமோஹகா’, தெலுங்கில் ‘மனசாகதே’, தமிழில் ‘தடுமாறுதே’, மலையாளத்தில் ‘மதுமோகினி’ என்ற பெயர்களில் ரசிகர்களை சென்றடைந்துள்ளது. தமிழ் பதிப்பிற்கான பாடல் வரிகளை இயக்குநரும் பாடலாசிரியருமான விக்னேஷ் சிவன் எழுதியுள்ளார்.

பாடல் குறித்து இசையமைப்பாளர் தனிஷ்க் பாக்சி கூறுகையில், “‘டாக்ஸிக்’ போன்ற பிரம்மாண்டமான படத்திற்காக இந்தப் பாடலை உருவாக்கியது எங்களுக்கு மிகவும் சிறப்பான அனுபவம். ராயா மற்றும் ரெபெக்காவின் காதல் பயணத்தை இசையின் மூலம் உணர்வுபூர்வமாக சொல்ல முயன்றுள்ளோம். இந்த உணர்வுகளை ரசிகர்களும் மனதார ஏற்றுக் கொள்வார்கள் என்று நம்புகிறோம்,” என்றார்.

பின்னணி பாடகர் சித்தார்த் பஸ்ரூர் கூறுகையில், “‘தடுமாறுதே’ என்பது காதல் தோல்வியை மட்டுமே பேசும் பாடல் அல்ல. இரு மனங்களுக்கிடையே சொல்லப்படாமல் இருக்கும் உணர்வுகளை இசையாக வெளிப்படுத்தும் ஒரு முயற்சி. அந்த உண்மையான உணர்வுகளை என் குரலில் பிரதிபலிக்க விரும்பினேன்,” எனத் தெரிவித்தார்.

Toxic Unveils a Softer Side of Love: Yash and Tara Sutaria Shine in the Soulful Track ‘Thadumaarudhe’

After the phenomenal success of Tabaahi, the makers of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups have released the film’s second single, Thadumaarudhe, offering audiences a refreshing and emotionally rich glimpse into the evolving relationship between the lead characters, Raya and Rebecca.

Unlike Tabaahi, which celebrated the intensity and passion of romance, Thadumaarudhe explores the quieter emotions of love—longing, vulnerability, unspoken feelings, and emotional intimacy. The song adds a new emotional dimension to the film, reminding viewers that every love story unfolds through different shades and stages.

Rocking Star Yash and Tara Sutaria deliver a captivating on-screen performance, portraying Raya and Rebecca’s relationship from a fresh perspective. Their effortless chemistry reflects playfulness on the surface while subtly revealing emotional conflicts and the silent yearning that exists beneath. While Raya remains the strong and charismatic character introduced in Tabaahi, Thadumaarudhe unveils his softer, more vulnerable side through his bond with Rebecca.

The romantic melody has been composed by the acclaimed trio Tanishk Bagchi, Arslan Nizami, and Faheem Abdullah, with singer Siddharth Basrur lending his soulful voice across all five language versions. The song has been released as Madhosh (Hindi), Manamohaka (Kannada), Manasaagadhe (Telugu), Thadumaarudhe (Tamil), and MadhuMohini (Malayalam). The Tamil lyrics have been penned by filmmaker and lyricist Vignesh Shivan.

Speaking about the song, composer Tanishk Bagchi said that Thadumaarudhe holds a special place in the hearts of the creative team. He noted that collaborating once again with Arslan Nizami, Faheem Abdullah, and singer Siddharth Basrur made the experience even more memorable. According to him, the song beautifully captures Raya and Rebecca’s emotional journey, expressing love, longing, and the playful nuances of romance in a heartfelt manner.

Playback singer Siddharth Basrur shared that the song is not merely about heartbreak but about everything left unsaid between two people. He explained that he wanted his vocals to reflect honesty, vulnerability, and emotional depth rather than simply portraying pain, making the track a deeply personal and meaningful musical experience.

Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has been filmed in Kannada and English and will also be released in dubbed versions across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, and several other languages.

The film features an impressive ensemble cast including Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, and Huma Qureshi. Produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is all set for a worldwide theatrical release on August 26, 2026.
