பெரிய அறிவிப்புகள், பிரம்மாண்ட விளம்பரங்கள், சமூக வலைதள பரபரப்புகள் என எந்த ஆர்ப்பாட்டமும் இல்லாமல் அமைதியாக தனது பயணத்தை மேற்கொண்டிருந்த ‘ஹைக்கூ’ திரைப்படம் தற்போது தனது முக்கியமான கட்டத்தை வெற்றிகரமாக நிறைவு செய்துள்ளது. நான்கு கட்டங்களாக நடைபெற்ற 90 நாட்களுக்கும் மேலான படப்பிடிப்பை முடித்துள்ள படக்குழு, இப்போது போஸ்ட் புரொடக்ஷன் பணிகளில் முழு கவனத்தையும் செலுத்தி வருகிறது.

‘Haiku’ Wraps Up Filming, Gears Up to Bloom on the Big Screen
While many films rely on grand announcements and aggressive promotions to stay in the spotlight, Haiku has quietly completed its journey through production, staying true to the simplicity reflected in its title. The film has successfully wrapped up its shoot after more than 90 days of filming spread across four schedules and has now entered the post-production stage.
Produced under the banner of Vision Cinema House by Dr. T. Arulanandhu and Mathew Arulanandhu, Haiku began filming earlier this year in the scenic town of Erumeli, Kerala. The production later traveled through picturesque locations across Kerala, Coimbatore, and Chennai. Several large-scale sets were erected for the film, while key portions were also shot at iconic Chennai landmarks including Spencer Plaza, Anna Salai (Mount Road), Aachi House, Perungudi, and Adyar Bridge. The final schedule was completed along the picturesque shores of Kovalam Beach on Chennai’s East Coast Road.
Speaking about the completion of the shoot, director Yuvaraj Chinnasamy expressed his gratitude to the producers for their unwavering faith and creative support. He noted that their trust allowed the team to bring the story to life exactly as envisioned. The filmmaker described working with the cast, technicians, and crew as a rewarding experience and revealed that Haiku is being crafted as a heartfelt, emotionally rich, and breezy theatrical experience that audiences of all ages can connect with.
The producers, Dr. T. Arulanandhu and Mathew Arulanandhu, shared their excitement about reaching this significant milestone. They praised the director’s clarity of vision, dedication, and disciplined execution throughout the production process. According to them, the collaboration has been immensely fulfilling, and they are eager to present the film to audiences once post-production is completed.
Even before the cameras stopped rolling, Haiku achieved a major milestone. In a significant vote of confidence, global streaming giant Netflix acquired the film’s post-theatrical digital streaming rights for a premium price. At a time when digital platforms are increasingly selective about acquisitions, securing such a deal before the completion of filming highlights the confidence placed in the film’s story and content.
The makers believe that Haiku tells a universally relatable story capable of transcending language and regional boundaries, with the potential to resonate with audiences across the world.
