Kishore Rajkumar’s Romantic Comedy Promises Family Entertainment, Featuring Anna Ben and a Stellar Ensemble Cast

Blending romance, humour and family-friendly entertainment, Coimbatore Mappillai, written, directed by and starring Kishore Rajkumar of Naai Sekar fame, is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release on December 24. AGS Cinemas will distribute the film across Tamil Nadu.

The film marks the debut production venture of Noise and Grains, a leading media production and talent management company known for successfully conceptualising and organising grand entertainment events featuring prominent personalities from the Indian film industry. Produced by Karthik Srinivas and Mahaveer Ashok under the Noise and Grains banner, the film promises a lively blend of romance and comedy.

Popular Malayalam actress Anna Ben, who also appeared in the Tamil film Kottukkaali, plays the female lead. The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast featuring K. S. Ravikumar, Ponvannan, Viji Chandrasekhar, Sithappu Saravanan, Vinodhini Vaidhyanathan, Lollu Sabha Manohar, CWC Monisha Blessy, WhatsApp Mani and Nakkalites Ranjith, among others.

Kishore Rajkumar Promises Nonstop Entertainment

Speaking about the film, director and lead actor Kishore Rajkumar revealed that the entire shoot was completed in just 29 days. He highlighted how the film takes a different approach to portraying a protagonist with a heavier build, rather than limiting such characters to conventional comic roles.

Expressing his happiness about playing the lead role himself, Kishore Rajkumar said the film has been designed to appeal to audiences across age groups. He added that viewers can expect laughter and entertainment throughout the film, making it an enjoyable experience for families.

Describing the film’s core theme, the filmmaker said that Coimbatore Mappillai is a romantic comedy built around relationships, compatibility and humour. The screenplay has been crafted to deliver a feel-good experience, while also giving considerable importance to the female lead.

Kishore Rajkumar also expressed his happiness about collaborating with the talented Anna Ben and extended his gratitude to Noise and Grains for giving him the opportunity to bring the project to life.

Strong Technical Team Behind the Film

Praveen Balu has handled the cinematography and co-writing responsibilities, while Ram Pandian is in charge of editing. Both technicians previously collaborated with Kishore Rajkumar on Naai Sekar, which starred Sathish in the lead role.

Brindha Master has choreographed a lively song in the film, while Sri Sasikumar serves as the art director. Kiruthika Sekar is the costume designer, and S. N. Asraf and Naresh Dinakaran are the executive producers.

With its mix of romance, comedy and feel-good entertainment, Coimbatore Mappillai marks an important milestone for Noise and Grains as it enters the world of feature-film production.
