“நம்பிக்கையும் விடாமுயற்சியும் தான் என் பயணத்தின் பலம்!” – ‘சிக்மா’ இயக்குநர் ஜேசன் சஞ்சய்

லைகா புரொடக்ஷன்ஸ் சார்பில் சுபாஸ்கரன் தயாரிப்பில் உருவாகியுள்ள ‘சிக்மா’ திரைப்படத்தின் மூலம் இயக்குநராக அறிமுகமாகிறார் ஜேசன் சஞ்சய். சந்தீப் கிஷன், ஃபரியா அப்துல்லா உள்ளிட்டோர் நடித்துள்ள இப்படம் அக்டோபர் 2-ஆம் தேதி உலகம் முழுவதும் திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாகிறது. சக்தி ஃபிலிம் இப்படத்தை வெளியிடுகிறது.

இயக்குநராக தனது முதல் படத்தை ரசிகர்களிடம் கொண்டு செல்வது குறித்து பேசியுள்ள ஜேசன் சஞ்சய், ‘சிக்மா’ தனக்கு வெறும் திரைப்படம் மட்டுமல்ல; நம்பிக்கை, கடின உழைப்பு மற்றும் விடாமுயற்சியால் உருவான ஒரு பயணம் என தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

ஒரு அறிமுக இயக்குநருக்கு தனது கற்பனை மற்றும் சிந்தனையைப் புரிந்துகொண்டு அதை திரையில் கொண்டு வரும் ஒளிப்பதிவாளர் கிடைப்பது மிகப்பெரிய விஷயம். அந்த வகையில் கிருஷ்ணன் வசந்த் அவர்களுடன் பணியாற்றியது எனக்கு கிடைத்த அதிர்ஷ்டம். அவரது காட்சிப் பார்வை ‘சிக்மா’வின் உருவாக்கத்தில் முக்கிய பங்கு வகித்துள்ளது.

அதேபோல், எடிட்டர் பிரவீன் கே.எல். அவர்களின் அனுபவமும் புரிதலும் படத்திற்கு மிகப்பெரிய பலமாக அமைந்தது. தமன் அமைத்துள்ள இசையும், அதிரடியான பீட்களும் படத்தின் வேகத்தையும் உற்சாகத்தையும் மேலும் அதிகரித்துள்ளன.

எக்ஸிகியூட்டிவ் புரொடியூசர் சுப்ரமணியன் நாராயணன் மற்றும் கிரியேட்டிவ் புரொடியூசர் சஞ்சீவ் ஆகியோரின் பங்களிப்பும் முக்கியமானது. ஆக்‌ஷன் இயக்குநர்கள் வெங்கட் மற்றும் சில்வா படத்தின் மையக் கதைக்கு ஏற்ற வகையில் சிறப்பான ஆக்‌ஷன் காட்சிகளை உருவாக்கியுள்ளனர்.

ஒரு படைப்பின் மீது நம்பிக்கை இருப்பது அவசியம். அதே நேரத்தில் அந்த நம்பிக்கை பணிவுடன் இருக்க வேண்டும் என்பதையும் நான் நம்புகிறேன். அந்த நம்பிக்கையுடனும் பணிவுடனும் ‘சிக்மா’வை ரசிகர்களிடம் கொண்டு வருகிறேன்.

“Faith, Hard Work and Perseverance Have Shaped My Journey” – Director Jason Sanjay on Sigma

Director Jason Sanjay is all set to make his directorial debut with Sigma, produced by Subaskaran under the Lyca Productions banner. Starring Sundeep Kishan, Faria Abdullah and others, the film is scheduled to release worldwide in theatres on October 2. Sakthi Film is distributing the film.

Ahead of the release, Jason Sanjay opened up about his experience of making his first film, the team behind Sigma, and his expectations from the audience.

Speaking about the film, Jason Sanjay said, “I am excited about the release of Sigma, but at the same time, there is a sense of nervousness as well. However, I have complete faith in the film and believe that we will live up to the expectations surrounding it. Sigma is releasing worldwide in theatres on October 2. Our entire team has put in our best efforts to deliver an exciting and entertaining theatrical experience for audiences.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Subaskaran, Chairman of Lyca Productions, for placing his trust in me and giving me the opportunity to make my directorial debut. I am equally thankful to Mr. Tamil Kumaran, who guided and supported us throughout the journey.

I would also like to thank Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah for believing in me and the story and for performing with complete dedication. My thanks also go to actors Sampath, Raju Master and every member of the team for their support.

For any filmmaker, especially a debut director, having a cinematographer who understands and connects with their creative vision is a huge blessing. I consider myself fortunate to have worked with Krishna Vasanth. His visual perspective and understanding played a very important role in shaping Sigma.

Having an experienced and understanding editor like Praveen KL was another major strength for the film. Thaman’s music and energetic beats have added further excitement to the movie.

Sigma would not have been possible without the support and cooperation of the entire team. The contributions of Executive Producer Subramanian Narayanan and Creative Producer Sanjeev were particularly important. Our action choreographers Venkat and Silva have also done an excellent job, adding tremendous energy and excitement to the central storyline.

Every scene in the film has been carefully designed to suit its look, feel and narrative. Cinema is ultimately a medium of entertainment, and our goal was to create Sigma as an engaging, fast-paced and entertaining theatrical experience.

We also wanted to make a film that could connect with audiences across different regions and transcend language and geographical boundaries. The entire team worked with this vision.
