200-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட திரைப்படங்களின் போஸ்டர் டிசைனர், தமிழின் தெருக்கூத்து கலைப் பார்வையை உலக அரங்கில் பிரதிபலித்தார்
தமிழ் சினிமாவின் போஸ்டர் வடிவமைப்பில் தனக்கென தனித்துவமான அடையாளத்தை உருவாக்கியுள்ள டிசைனர் கோபி பிரசன்னா, தற்போது சர்வதேச டிசைன் அரங்கிலும் தமிழகத்தின் கலைப் பார்வையை எடுத்துச் சென்றுள்ளார்.
தைவானில் நடைபெற்று வரும் 2026 சர்வதேச டிசைன் விழாவில், உலகின் பல்வேறு நாடுகளைச் சேர்ந்த முன்னணி வடிவமைப்பாளர்கள் தங்களது படைப்புகளை காட்சிப்படுத்தி வருகின்றனர். செப்டம்பர் 24 முதல் அக்டோபர் 11 வரை நடைபெறும் இவ்விழாவின் முக்கிய நிகழ்வுகளில் ஒன்றான “Taoyuan POV – Taoyuan: Point of View” என்ற பிரிவில், உலகின் பல்வேறு துறைகளைச் சேர்ந்த 20 முன்னணி வடிவமைப்பாளர்கள் பங்கேற்றுள்ளனர்.
இந்த சர்வதேச நிகழ்வில் இந்தியாவை பிரதிநிதித்துவப்படுத்த அழைக்கப்பட்ட நான்கு வடிவமைப்பாளர்களில் தமிழகத்தைச் சேர்ந்த கோபி பிரசன்னாவும் ஒருவர்.
தமிழ்த் திரைப்படத் துறையில் ‘ஆரண்ய காண்டம்’, ‘கத்தி’, ‘விக்ரம் வேதா’, ‘சூப்பர் டீலக்ஸ்’, ‘பொன்னியின் செல்வன்’, ‘ராக்கா’ உள்ளிட்ட 200-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட திரைப்படங்களின் போஸ்டர் மற்றும் விளம்பர வடிவமைப்புகளில் தனது பங்களிப்பை வழங்கியுள்ள கோபி பிரசன்னாவின் சர்வதேச பங்கேற்பு, தமிழ் சினிமா வடிவமைப்புத் துறைக்கும் கிடைத்துள்ள முக்கியமான அங்கீகாரமாக பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.
தெருக்கூத்துக் கலைஞனாக தன்னை உருவகப்படுத்திய கோபி பிரசன்னா
தைவான் கண்காட்சிக்காக கோபி பிரசன்னா உருவாக்கிய படைப்பு, அவரது வழக்கமான திரைப்பட வடிவமைப்புப் பாணியிலிருந்து மாறுபட்டு, தமிழர்களின் பாரம்பரிய தெருக்கூத்து கலை வடிவத்தையும் தைவானின் தாவோயுவான் நகரின் கலாசாரத்தையும் இணைக்கும் வகையில் அமைந்துள்ளது.
தன்னை ஒரு பாரம்பரிய தமிழ் தெருக்கூத்துக் கலைஞனாக உருவகப்படுத்திக் கொண்டு, தாவோயுவான் நகரின் கலாசாரம் மற்றும் தனது கலைப் பார்வை ஆகிய இரண்டையும் ஒருங்கிணைத்து இந்தப் படைப்பை அவர் வடிவமைத்துள்ளார்.
கண்காட்சியில் இடம்பெற்ற அவரது படைப்பு, விழா ஏற்பாட்டாளர்கள், கியூரேட்டர்கள், கலை ஆர்வலர்கள் மற்றும் சர்வதேச அளவில் பங்கேற்றுள்ள சக வடிவமைப்பாளர்களிடையே கவனத்தை ஈர்த்து பாராட்டுகளைப் பெற்றுள்ளது.
இந்தியாவின் சார்பில் கோபி பிரசன்னாவுடன் மந்தர் சசிகாந்த் ரானே, இஷான் கோஸ்லா மற்றும் பிரியங்கா கான்யேகர் ஆகியோரின் படைப்புகளும் கண்காட்சியில் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன.
‘Mirror of the City’ நிகழ்வில் சிறப்பு பங்கேற்பு
தைவான் தாவோயுவான் நகரில் நடைபெற்ற ‘Mirror of the City’ நிகழ்விலும் கோபி பிரசன்னா பங்கேற்றார். நவீன ஒலி-ஒளி தொழில்நுட்பங்கள் மற்றும் கலை நிறுவல்களுடன் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்ட ‘Light and Shadow Art’ விழாவையும் அவர் தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.
தற்போது சர்வதேச அளவில் நடைபெற்று வரும் இந்தக் கலைக் கண்காட்சி, அக்டோபர் 17, 2026 வரை பொதுமக்களின் பார்வைக்காக நடைபெறுகிறது.
தமிழ் சினிமாவின் போஸ்டர் வடிவமைப்பில் தொடங்கி, தமிழர்களின் பாரம்பரிய கலை அடையாளத்தை சர்வதேச டிசைன் மேடைக்கு எடுத்துச் சென்றுள்ள கோபி பிரசன்னாவின் இந்தப் பங்கேற்பு, தமிழ் கலை மற்றும் வடிவமைப்பின் தனித்துவத்தை உலக அளவில் பதிவு செய்யும் மற்றுமொரு முக்கிய தருணமாக அமைந்துள்ளது.

Gopi Prasannaa Takes Tamil Artistic Vision to the Global Stage at Taiwan International Design Festival 2026
The acclaimed Indian poster designer brings the visual spirit of Tamil Nadu’s traditional Therukoothu to an international design platform
Tamil Nadu-based poster designer Gopi Prasannaa has taken the artistic identity and cultural spirit of Tamil Nadu to the international design arena with his participation in the Taiwan International Design Festival 2026.
The Taiwan International Design Festival is being held from September 24 to October 11, 2026, bringing together leading designers from different parts of the world. As part of the festival, 20 prominent designers representing diverse creative disciplines, including automobile, graphic and product design, have been invited to showcase their works under the theme “Taoyuan POV – Taoyuan: Point of View.”
Among the four designers representing India at the festival, Gopi Prasannaa has been invited from Tamil Nadu in recognition of his significant contribution to the Indian film industry.
Known for his distinctive approach to film poster and promotional design, Gopi Prasannaa has worked on the promotional campaigns of more than 200 films, including acclaimed titles such as Aaranya Kaandam, Kaththi, Vikram Vedha, Super Deluxe, Ponniyin Selvan and Raaka, among others.
Bringing Therukoothu to an International Design Platform
For his special presentation at the festival, Gopi Prasannaa chose to draw inspiration from the traditional Tamil performing art form Therukoothu. He conceptualised himself as a traditional Therukoothu artist and created a distinctive work that combines the cultural essence of Taoyuan with his own artistic perspective.
The artwork has attracted significant attention at the exhibition, receiving appreciation from festival organisers, curators, art enthusiasts and fellow designers from across the world.
Through the work, Gopi Prasannaa has created a visual dialogue between the traditional cultural identity of Tamil Nadu and the contemporary cultural landscape of Taoyuan.
The Indian representation at the exhibition also includes works by Mandar Shashikant Rane, Ishan Khosla and Priyanka Kanyekar.
Gopi Prasannaa Inaugurates ‘Light and Shadow Art’ Festival
Gopi Prasannaa also participated in the ‘Mirror of the City’ event held in Taoyuan City. As part of the programme, he inaugurated the ‘Light and Shadow Art’ festival, which features contemporary audiovisual installations and innovative technologies.
The Light and Shadow Art exhibition will remain open to the public until October 17, 2026.
Gopi Prasannaa’s participation in the Taiwan International Design Festival marks a significant moment for Tamil visual culture, showcasing the richness of its traditional art forms while placing them in conversation with contemporary global design.
