சென்னை: ஜீவன் பிலிம்ஸ் தயாரிப்பில், நடிகர் நெப்போலியன் நடிப்பில் உருவாகியுள்ள ‘அமெரிக்க ஆவி’ திரைப்படத்தின் இசை மற்றும் டிரெய்லர் வெளியீட்டு விழா சென்னையில் உள்ள கமலா திரையரங்க வளாகத்தில் சிறப்பாக நடைபெற்றது. அமெரிக்காவில் முழுமையாகப் படமாக்கப்பட்ட தமிழ் திரைப்படம் என்ற தனித்துவத்துடன் உருவாகியுள்ள இப்படத்தை அறிமுக இயக்குநர் தஞ்சை ஜே.பி.ஆர் இயக்கியுள்ளார். இப்படத்தின் இசையை சென்னையில் உள்ள ஜப்பான் துணைத் தூதர் டாக்கா ஹாசி மற்றும் திரைப்படத் தயாரிப்பாளர் ஆதித்யா ராம் ஆகியோர் இணைந்து வெளியிட, தயாரிப்பாளர் கண்ணன் ரவி பெற்றுக்கொண்டார்.

ஜீவன் பிலிம்ஸ் சார்பில் தனுஷ் நெப்போலியன் மற்றும் குணால் நெப்போலியன் இணைந்து தயாரித்துள்ள இப்படத்தில், அமெரிக்காவில் வசிக்கும் 200-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட புதுமுகங்கள் நடித்துள்ளனர். மென்பொருள் பொறியாளர்கள், மருத்துவர்கள், விஞ்ஞானிகள், பேராசிரியர்கள் எனப் பல்வேறு துறைகளில் பணியாற்றும் தமிழர்கள் உள்ளிட்ட கலைஞர்கள் தங்களது ஓய்வு நேரத்தை ஒதுக்கிப் படத்தில் பங்கேற்றுள்ளனர். 40-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட நாடுகளைச் சேர்ந்தவர்கள் இப்படத்தில் இடம்பெற்றிருப்பதும் இதன் சிறப்பம்சமாகும்.

விழாவில் பேசிய தயாரிப்பாளர் குணால் நெப்போலியன், “தமிழ் சினிமாவில் வித்தியாசமான முயற்சியாக இந்தப் படம் உருவாகியுள்ளது. அமெரிக்காவில் வசிக்கும் நம்மவர்களிடம் இவ்வளவு திறமைகள் இருப்பதைப் பார்த்து வியந்தோம். அனைவரும் தங்களுடைய பணிகளைச் செய்துகொண்டே கிடைக்கும் ஓய்வு நேரத்தில் இப்படத்திற்காக உழைத்துள்ளனர். இது எங்களுக்கு மிகுந்த மகிழ்ச்சியையும் பெருமையையும் அளிக்கிறது.

நடிகர் நெப்போலியன் பேசுகையில், “இந்தப் படத்தில் சுமார் 200 பேர் புதுமுகங்களாக அறிமுகமாகியுள்ளனர். இவர்களில் பலர் மென்பொருள் பொறியாளர்கள், மருத்துவர்கள், விஞ்ஞானிகள், பேராசிரியர்கள் எனப் பல்வேறு துறைகளில் பெரிய பொறுப்புகளில் பணியாற்றுபவர்கள்.

திங்கள் முதல் வெள்ளி வரை அவரவர் பணிகளில் மும்முரமாக இருப்பார்கள். அவர்களுக்குக் கிடைக்கும் ஓய்வு நேரத்தைத் திட்டமிட்டுப் பயன்படுத்தி, 75 நாட்களில் படப்பிடிப்பை முடித்தோம். இதுவரை நேரில் ஒரு திரைப்படப் படப்பிடிப்பைக்கூட பார்த்திராத பலருக்கு நடிப்புப் பயிற்சி அளித்து அவர்களை நடிக்க வைத்தோம்.

நடிகர் சிவாஜி கணேசன் நடித்த ‘பாரத விலாஸ்’ படத்தில் இந்தியாவின் பல்வேறு பகுதிகளைச் சேர்ந்தவர்கள் இடம்பெற்றிருந்தனர். ஆனால், இந்தப் படத்தில் உலகின் பல்வேறு நாடுகளைச் சேர்ந்தவர்கள் இணைந்து நடித்துள்ளனர். இது முற்றிலும் வித்தியாசமான அனுபவம். இப்படத்தை உருவாக்க உதவிய அனைவருக்கும் நன்றி” என்றார்.

புதுமுகங்களை நடிக்க வைத்தது சவாலான பணி!

படத்தின் இயக்குநர் தஞ்சை ஜே.பி.ஆர் பேசுகையில், சிறுவயதிலிருந்தே திரைப்பட இயக்கத்தின் மீது ஆர்வம் கொண்டிருந்ததாகக் குறிப்பிட்டார். ஆரம்பத்தில் ‘ஓநாய்கள் ஜாக்கிரதை’ என்ற திரைப்படத்தைத் தயாரித்து இயக்கியதாகவும், பின்னர் குடும்பச் சூழல் காரணமாக அமெரிக்காவில் குடியேறியதாகவும் தெரிவித்தார்.

அமெரிக்காவில் இருந்தபோதும் திரைப்படம் இயக்க வேண்டும் என்ற ஆர்வம் குறையவில்லை. அந்தச் சூழலில் நெப்போலியனைச் சந்தித்தபோது, அவரது வீட்டை மையமாகக் கொண்டு ஒரு கதையை உருவாக்கும் யோசனை கிடைத்ததாகக் கூறினார்.

“நெப்போலியன் வழக்கமான திகில் படமாக இல்லாமல், நகைச்சுவையும் கலந்த படமாக இருக்க வேண்டும் என்று விரும்பினார். அதற்கேற்ப கதையை உருவாக்கினோம். நெப்போலியன், குணால், தனுஷ் ஆகியோரின் ஆதரவுடன் திரைக்கதையை மேலும் மெருகேற்றினோம். புதுமுகங்களை வைத்து ஒரு முழுத் திரைப்படத்தையும் உருவாக்குவது சவாலான பணி. இதற்கு உறுதுணையாக இருந்த அனைவருக்கும் நன்றி” என்றார்.

படக்குழுவினரைப் பாராட்டிய திரையுலகப் பிரபலங்கள்!

விழாவில் கலந்துகொண்ட திரைப்படத் தொழிலாளர்கள் சம்மேளனத்தின் (FEFSI) தலைவர் இயக்குநர் ஆர்.கே. செல்வமணி பேசுகையில், இப்படத்தைப் பார்வையிட்டதாகவும், ஒட்டுமொத்தப் படத்திலும் புதுமுகங்களை நடிக்க வைத்து அவர்களிடமிருந்து சிறப்பான நடிப்பைப் பெற்றிருப்பது பாராட்டுக்குரியது என்றும் தெரிவித்தார். குறிப்பாக, பாடல் காட்சிகளில் அவர்கள் ஒருங்கிணைந்து நடனமாடிய விதத்தைப் பாராட்டினார். இப்படம் வெற்றிபெறும் என்றும் நம்பிக்கை தெரிவித்தார்.

நடிகர் நாசர் பேசுகையில், நெப்போலியனுடனான தனது நட்பு 30 ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாகத் தொடர்வதாகக் குறிப்பிட்டார். நெப்போலியனின் நேர்மை, மனிதநேயம் மற்றும் மற்றவர்களுக்கு உதவும் குணம் குறித்துப் பாராட்டிப் பேசினார். தென்னிந்திய நடிகர் சங்கக் கட்டடத்திற்காக அவர் தாமாக முன்வந்து ஒரு கோடி ரூபாயை வைப்புத் தொகையாக வழங்கியதையும் நினைவுகூர்ந்தார்.

தயாரிப்பாளர் டி. சிவா பேசுகையில், நெப்போலியன் நடிகராக மட்டுமின்றி, ஒரு நல்ல மனிதராகவும் திரையுலகில் தனக்கென இடம்பிடித்திருப்பதாகக் குறிப்பிட்டார். இப்படம் பொழுதுபோக்கு அம்சங்கள் நிறைந்த வணிகத் திரைப்படமாக இருக்கும் என்று நம்பிக்கை தெரிவித்ததுடன், திரைத்துறைக்காக நெப்போலியன் செய்த உதவிகளையும் பாராட்டினார்.

A Tamil Cinema Venture Born on American Soil! Music and Trailer of Napoleon-Starrer ‘America Aavi’ Launched in Chennai Amid Grand Celebrations

A comedy horror thriller featuring over 200 Tamil residents from the United States and artists from various countries; film industry celebrities extend their wishes to the team!

Chennai: The music and trailer launch of America Aavi, starring actor Napoleon and produced by Jeevan Films, was held in a grand manner at the Kamala Theatre premises in Chennai. Uniquely positioned as a Tamil film shot entirely in the United States, the film is directed by debutant filmmaker Thanjai J.P.R.

The film’s music was jointly launched by Taka Hasi, Deputy Consul General of Japan in Chennai, and film producer Aadhitya Ram. Producer Kannan Ravi received the audio launch release.

Produced by Dhanush Napoleon and Kunal Napoleon under the banner of Jeevan Films, America Aavi features more than 200 newcomers residing in the United States. Tamil professionals working in various fields, including software engineering, medicine, science and academia, have contributed to the film by dedicating their leisure time to the project. Another notable aspect is the participation of people from more than 40 countries.

Cinematography is handled by Nash Vil Prabhu, music is composed by Athish Uthriyan, editing is by Vinu, and Indhu Rajkumar serves as the art director.

Blending comedy with horror and thriller elements, America Aavi is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release soon.

‘America Aavi’ Represents More Than Just a Ghost!

Speaking at the event, producer Kunal Napoleon said, “This film is a unique attempt in Tamil cinema. We were amazed to discover the immense talent among our people living in America. Everyone worked on this film during their spare time while continuing with their regular professions. This brings us immense happiness and pride.

“The title America Aavi does not refer only to a ghost. It also represents the inspiring journeys of people who migrated to America from different countries and achieved success through their hard work and determination. The film has elements of horror as well as several interesting and entertaining aspects.

“My brother, Dhanush Napoleon, could not attend the event in person, but he is watching the programme live. His wish is for audiences to come to theatres with their families, enjoy the film and support its success.”

A Film Completed in Just 75 Days!

Actor Napoleon said, “Around 200 newcomers have made their debut through this film. Many of them hold responsible positions in different professions, including software engineering, medicine, science and teaching.

“They remain busy with their respective jobs from Monday to Friday. We carefully planned and utilised their available leisure time and completed the shoot in 75 days. We trained several people who had never even witnessed a film shoot in person and helped them perform in front of the camera.

“In the film Bharatha Vilas, starring Sivaji Ganesan, people from different parts of India came together. In America Aavi, however, people from various countries across the world have joined hands to act in a single film. It has been a completely different experience. I thank everyone who helped bring this project to life.”

Casting Newcomers Was a Challenging Task!

Director Thanjai J.P.R. revealed that he had been passionate about filmmaking since childhood. He initially produced and directed a film titled Onaigal Jaakirathai before moving to America due to family circumstances.

Despite settling in the United States, his desire to direct films remained strong. He explained that an idea to develop a story centred around Napoleon’s house emerged when he met the actor.

“Napoleon wanted the film to be more than a conventional horror movie and insisted that it should also have comedy. We developed the story accordingly. With the support of Napoleon, Kunal and Dhanush, we further refined the screenplay.

“Creating an entire feature film with newcomers was a challenging task. I thank everyone who stood by us and supported this effort,” the director said.

Film Industry Celebrities Applaud the Team!

Director R.K. Selvamani, President of the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI), attended the event and praised the film. He said he had watched it and appreciated how the team had secured impressive performances from newcomers throughout the film. He particularly commended the way the cast performed together in the song sequences and expressed confidence in the film’s success.

Actor Nassar spoke about his friendship with Napoleon, which has lasted for more than 30 years. He praised Napoleon’s honesty, humanity and willingness to help others. He also recalled Napoleon’s voluntary contribution of ₹1 crore as a fixed deposit towards the building of the South Indian Artistes’ Association.

Nassar observed that films made specifically for children are relatively rare and expressed hope that America Aavi would offer an enjoyable experience for the entire family. He encouraged children to watch the film in theatres along with their parents.

Producer T. Siva described Napoleon as not only a talented actor but also a good human being who has earned a special place in the film industry. He expressed confidence that America Aavi would be an entertaining commercial film and appreciated Napoleon’s contributions to the industry.

Actress Roja Selvamani recalled her experience of working with Napoleon. Expressing happiness at seeing him return to the screen after a long gap, she urged audiences to support the film through social media and word-of-mouth publicity. Although she admitted that horror films generally frighten her, she said she enjoyed watching this film.

‘It Is Not Just a Horror Film; The Entire Family Can Enjoy It!’

Choreographer Kala revealed that the film features several songs and said she was delighted to have trained the newcomers in dance and helped them perform confidently on screen. Describing Napoleon as a longtime friend, she called America Aavi a beautiful family entertainer.

Cinematographer Nash Vil Prabhu thanked Napoleon for introducing him as a cinematographer and providing him with opportunities to grow professionally.

Music composer Athish Uthriyan stated that the film features five songs and described America Aavi as an important project in his musical journey.

Lyricist Snehan shared his close relationship with Napoleon and expressed happiness about being part of the film.

Director R.V. Udayakumar recalled his earlier experiences of working with Napoleon and extended his wishes for the success of America Aavi.

Several members of the film’s cast and crew, prominent personalities from the film industry and special guests attended the event and conveyed their best wishes to the team.
