Internationally acclaimed chef set to challenge celebrities in the Tamil edition of the popular culinary show

Chennai: Get ready for a delicious mix of food, entertainment and celebrity competition as Celebrity MasterChef Tamil gears up to make its way to audiences. Presented by Sony VIZHA and Sony LIV, the show will bring together popular celebrities under one roof, with actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu hosting the exciting culinary competition. Adding an international flavour to the show, MasterChef Australia winner Chef Sashi Cheliah has joined the Tamil edition as a judge.

Chef Sashi Cheliah’s journey to the MasterChef kitchen has been anything but conventional. He began his professional career with the Singapore Police Force before following his passion for cooking and stepping into the world of culinary arts. His talent and determination eventually led him to compete in MasterChef Australia, where he emerged as the winner and lifted the coveted title.

Sashi’s culinary identity has been deeply influenced by the Indian and Southeast Asian flavours that were an integral part of his childhood. His cooking beautifully reflects these influences, while also highlighting his belief that food can be a powerful way of expressing our identity, memories and cultural roots.

Speaking about joining Celebrity MasterChef Tamil as a judge, Chef Sashi Cheliah said:
