இந்தியாவின் ஆன்மிக, பண்பாட்டு மற்றும் இலக்கிய அடையாளமாக திகழும் ராமாயணம் இதிகாசத்தை, உலகத் தரத்தில் திரைப்படமாக கொண்டு செல்லும் முயற்சியின் முதல் முக்கிய அத்தியாயமாக ‘பிரதம் சங்கல்ப்’ நிகழ்வு புது டெல்லியில் கோலாகலமாக நடைபெற்றது.

உலகளாவிய டிரெய்லர் வெளியீட்டிற்கு முன்பாக நடத்தப்பட்ட இந்த பிரத்யேக நிகழ்வு, ஒரு திரைப்பட அறிமுகமாக மட்டுமல்லாமல், இந்தியாவின் கலாச்சார மரபை உலக மக்களிடம் பெருமையுடன் எடுத்துச் செல்லும் உறுதிமொழி நிகழ்வாகவும் அமைந்தது.

இந்தியாவின் பன்முக கலாச்சாரத்தை ஒன்றிணைக்கும் சக்தியாக ராமாயணம் திகழ்வதை பிரதிபலிக்கும் வகையில் தலைநகர் டெல்லி இந்த நிகழ்விற்காக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டது. ‘பிரதம் சங்கல்ப்’ என்ற பெயரில் நடைபெற்ற இந்நிகழ்வு, இந்திய பாரம்பரியத்தில் எந்த ஒரு மகத்தான முயற்சிக்கும் முன் மேற்கொள்ளப்படும் உறுதியின் அடையாளமாக அமைந்தது.

வரும் ஜூலை 24 அன்று உலகம் முழுவதும் வெளியாகவுள்ள ராமாயணம் திரைப்படத்தின் அதிகாரப்பூர்வ டிரெய்லர், இந்த நிகழ்வில் முதன்முறையாக பிரத்யேகமாக திரையிடப்பட்டு சிறப்பு விருந்தினர்களின் பாராட்டைப் பெற்றது.

திரைப்படத்தின் பிரம்மாண்டத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தும் வகையில், இந்திய சினிமாவின் பல தலைமுறைகளைச் சேர்ந்த முன்னணி கலைஞர்கள் ஒரே மேடையில் ஒன்றுகூடியது நிகழ்வின் முக்கிய சிறப்பாக அமைந்தது. இயக்குநர் நிதேஷ் திவாரி, தயாரிப்பாளர் நமித் மல்ஹோத்ரா, நடிகர்கள் ரன்பீர் கபூர், சாய் பல்லவி, யாஷ், சன்னி தியோல், அருண் கோவில், ஷோபனா, அஜிங்க்யா தேவ், குனால் கபூர், ரகுல் ப்ரீத் சிங், ரவி துபே உள்ளிட்டோர் கலந்து கொண்டு திரைப்படம் குறித்த தங்களது அனுபவங்களையும் எதிர்பார்ப்புகளையும் பகிர்ந்து கொண்டனர்.

ராமராக ரன்பீர் கபூர், சீதையாக சாய் பல்லவி, ராவணனாக யாஷ், அனுமனாக சன்னி தியோல் ஆகியோரின் கதாபாத்திரங்கள் ரசிகர்களிடையே ஏற்கனவே பெரும் எதிர்பார்ப்பை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளன.

இந்த நிகழ்வின் மற்றொரு முக்கிய அம்சமாக, நாடு முழுவதும் நடைபெற்ற ‘ராமாயணம் ஸ்கூல்ஸ் புரோகிராம்’ குறிப்பிடப்பட்டது. 500-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட பள்ளிகளில் நடைபெற்ற இந்த முயற்சியின் மூலம் லட்சக்கணக்கான மாணவர்கள் ராமாயணத்தின் வாழ்க்கை மதிப்புகளை அறிந்து கொண்டனர். அதில் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்ட மாணவர்கள் டெல்லி நிகழ்வில் சிறப்பு விருந்தினர்களாக பங்கேற்றனர். மேலும், இந்தியாவின் 20 நகரங்களில் குழந்தைகள், படைப்பாளிகள் மற்றும் ரசிகர்களுக்காக டிரெய்லர் சிறப்பு திரையிடலும் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டது.

நிகழ்ச்சியில் பேசிய தயாரிப்பாளர் மற்றும் படைப்பாக்க வடிவமைப்பாளர் நமித் மல்ஹோத்ரா, “ராமாயணம் ஒரு இதிகாசம் மட்டுமல்ல; இந்தியர்களின் வாழ்வியல் அடையாளம். உலக சினிமா தரத்தில் இந்தியாவின் மிகப்பெரிய கதையை உலக மக்களிடம் கொண்டு செல்லும் கனவு இன்று நனவாகத் தொடங்கியுள்ளது. இது ஒரு திரைப்படத்தின் பயணம் மட்டுமல்ல, இந்திய கலாச்சாரத்தின் உலகப் பயணத்தின் தொடக்கமாகும்,” என்றார்.

இயக்குநர் நிதேஷ் திவாரி பேசுகையில், “ராமாயணத்தின் பெருமை அதன் காட்சிகளில் அல்ல, அது சொல்லும் மனிதநேயமும் வாழ்க்கை நெறிகளிலும் இருக்கிறது. அந்த உணர்வை எந்தவித சமரசமும் இல்லாமல், முழு மரியாதையுடனும் நேர்மையுடனும் திரையில் கொண்டு வர முயன்றுள்ளோம்,” என்று தெரிவித்தார்.

Prime Focus Studios, DNEG மற்றும் Monster Mind Creations நிறுவனங்கள் இணைந்து தயாரிக்கும் இந்த பிரம்மாண்ட திரைப்படத்திற்கு உலகப் புகழ்பெற்ற இசையமைப்பாளர்கள் ஹான்ஸ் ஸிம்மர் மற்றும் ஏ.ஆர். ரஹ்மான் இணைந்து இசையமைத்துள்ளனர்.

Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana Begins Its Global Journey with Grand ‘Pratham Sankalp’ Event in New Delhi Ahead of Worldwide Trailer Launch

Marking the beginning of a landmark global journey for one of India’s greatest cultural treasures, the makers of Ramayana unveiled the film’s first official presentation at a grand event titled ‘Pratham Sankalp’ in New Delhi, ahead of its worldwide trailer launch on July 24, 2026.

More than just a film announcement, the event celebrated India’s timeless epic and reaffirmed the filmmakers’ commitment to presenting Ramayana to audiences across the world with authenticity, artistic excellence, and deep cultural respect.

Deeply woven into India’s festivals, traditions, and everyday life, Ramayana has inspired generations for thousands of years. With this ambitious cinematic adaptation, producer Namit Malhotra and director Nitesh Tiwari aim to introduce the epic to a truly global audience on an unprecedented scale.

The choice of New Delhi as the venue symbolised the unity and diversity of India, reflecting how the values of Ramayana continue to connect people across cultures and generations. The highlight of the evening was the exclusive first screening of the film’s official trailer, which will be released worldwide on July 24.

The celebrations extended far beyond the capital through the Ramayana Schools Programme, an initiative that reached over 500 schools and introduced lakhs of students to the timeless values of the epic. Selected students attended the Delhi event as special guests, while children, creators, and fans in 20 cities across India were also given exclusive preview screenings ahead of the global trailer launch.

The event also marked the first public appearance of the film’s principal cast together, bringing multiple generations of Indian cinema onto one stage. Director Nitesh Tiwari was joined by producer Namit Malhotra and an impressive ensemble including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Sunny Deol, Arun Govil, Shobana, Ajinkya Deo, Kunal Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, and Ravi Dubey.

Ranbir Kapoor stars as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi portrays Sita, while pan-India superstar Yash takes on the powerful role of Ravana. Sunny Deol, who plays Lord Hanuman, made a surprise appearance, delighting fans at the event.

Speaking at the launch, producer and creative visionary Namit Malhotra described Ramayana as much more than an epic, calling it a living part of India’s identity and cultural consciousness.

Director Nitesh Tiwari said that his vision was not to reinvent the epic but to present it with complete honesty, emotional depth, and respect, ensuring that audiences around the world experience not only its visual grandeur but also its timeless values and humanity.

The film is jointly produced by Prime Focus Studios, DNEG, and Monster Mind Creations. Academy Award-winning composers Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman have collaborated to create the film’s musical score, adding another historic milestone to the project.
