‘ஆல் பாஸ்’ இசை வெளியீட்டு விழாவில் மன்சூர் அலிகான் காட்டம் – வடசென்னையின் இயல்பான வாழ்வியலைப் பேசும் படத்திற்கு திரையுலகினர் பாராட்டு

ஒன்ஸ் ஸ்டெப் என்டர்டெயின்மென்ட் சார்பில் மோகனா. ஆர் தயாரித்துள்ள இப்படத்தை மைதீன் கதை, திரைக்கதை, வசனம் எழுதி இயக்கியுள்ளார். ‘நிறங்கள் மூன்று’, ‘தருணம்’ உள்ளிட்ட படங்களில் நடித்த துஷ்யந்த் கதாநாயகனாகவும், பிக் பாஸ் நிகழ்ச்சியின் மூலம் பிரபலமான ஜனனி கதாநாயகியாகவும் நடித்துள்ளனர்.

வடசென்னை என்றாலே வன்முறை, அடிதடி, ரவுடியிசம் போன்ற பிம்பங்களே திரையில் அதிகம் காட்டப்பட்டு வரும் நிலையில், அந்தப் பகுதி மக்களின் எளிமையான அன்றாட வாழ்க்கையை மையமாக வைத்து ‘ஆல் பாஸ்’ உருவாகியிருப்பதாக படக்குழுவினர் தெரிவித்தனர்.

விழாவில் பேசிய இயக்குநர் மைதீன், தனது படத்தை உருவாக்குவதில் மூத்த கலைஞர்கள் அளித்த ஆதரவை நன்றியுடன் நினைவுகூர்ந்தார்.

உதவி இயக்குநர்களின் உழைப்பு சினிமாவில் போதிய அளவில் அங்கீகரிக்கப்படுவதில்லை என்றும், அவர்களுக்கு வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்தால்தான் தனித்த அடையாளத்தை உருவாக்க முடியும் என்றும் அவர் குறிப்பிட்டார்.

நடிகர் ஜெயப்பிரகாஷிடம் கதையைச் சொன்னபோது, கதாபாத்திரம் அவருக்கு பிடித்ததால் சம்பளம் குறித்து பெரிதாக யோசிக்காமல் நடிக்க முன்வந்ததாகவும், இசையமைப்பாளர் ஜேம்ஸ் வசந்தனும் கதையை கேட்டவுடன் படத்தின் மீது நம்பிக்கை வைத்து இசையமைக்க ஒப்புக்கொண்டதாகவும் மைதீன் தெரிவித்தார்.

இயக்குநர் விக்ரமன் பேசும்போது, நடிகர் ஜெயப்பிரகாஷுடனான தனது நீண்டகால நட்பை நினைவுகூர்ந்தார்.

சுமார் 30 ஆண்டுகளாக ஜெயப்பிரகாஷுடன் தனக்கு நட்பு இருப்பதாகக் கூறிய விக்ரமன், அவரை நடிகராக இருந்து தயாரிப்பாளராக மாற்றியதில் தனக்கும் ஒரு பங்கு இருப்பதாகத் தெரிவித்தார்.

விழாவின் முக்கிய கவனத்தை ஈர்த்தது நடிகர் மன்சூர் அலிகானின் பேச்சுதான்.

‘ஆல் பாஸ்’ படத்தைப் பாராட்டிப் பேசிய அவர், சினிமாவில் பணியாற்றும் ஒவ்வொரு கலைஞருக்கும் உரிய மரியாதையும் வெளிச்சமும் கிடைக்க வேண்டும் என்று வலியுறுத்தினார்.

“ஒரு திரைப்படத்தில் பணியாற்றும் கலைஞர்களை விளம்பரங்களில் தெரிவது போல முன்னிலைப்படுத்த வேண்டும். ஒவ்வொரு தொழில்நுட்பக் கலைஞரின் உழைப்பும் முக்கியமானது. அவர்களுடைய பங்களிப்பை யாரும் குறைத்து மதிப்பிடக்கூடாது” என்று அவர் தெரிவித்தார்.

தொடர்ந்து, சமீபத்தில் தான் நடித்த ‘கருப்பு’ திரைப்படம் தொடர்பான தனது வருத்தத்தையும் வெளிப்படுத்தினார்.

“நான் ‘கருப்பு’ படத்தின் கிளைமாக்ஸில் டான்ஸ் ஆடினேன். ஆனால் அதை அப்படியே தூக்கிவிட்டார்கள். யூடியூப்பில் வெளியிடுவோம் என்று சொன்னார்கள்; அதையும் செய்யவில்லை. இது என்ன அநியாயம்?” என்று கேள்வி எழுப்பிய மன்சூர் அலிகான்,

“சூர்யா, கார்த்தி பெரிய நடிகர்கள்… அவர்கள் வாழட்டும். ஆனால் எங்களையும் வாழ விடுங்கள். நான் பல வருடங்களாக நடிகராகவும் தயாரிப்பாளராகவும் இருக்கிறேன். எனக்கான நியாயம் கிடைக்க வேண்டும்” என்று காட்டமாகக் கூறினார்.

மேலும், சமூக வலைதளங்கள் மற்றும் பல்வேறு ஊடகங்களில் கலைஞர்களைப் பற்றி ஆதாரமற்ற வகையில் பேசப்படுவதாகவும் அவர் தனது அதிருப்தியை வெளிப்படுத்தினார்.

“நான் நல்ல வேலை செய்ததாக நினைத்தாலும், அதை கீழே போய் கொச்சைப்படுத்திப் பேசுபவர்கள் இருக்கிறார்கள். எதையாவது சொல்லிக்கொண்டே இருப்பவர்களும் இருக்கிறார்கள். சினிமாவில் உழைக்கும் ஒவ்வொருவரையும் மதிக்க வேண்டும்” என்று அவர் தெரிவித்தார்.

தனது பேச்சின் இறுதியில், ‘ஆல் பாஸ்’ படத்திற்கு விளம்பரம் செய்து வரும் ஊடகங்கள் மற்றும் ஒவ்வொரு தொழில்நுட்பக் கலைஞருக்கும் நன்றி தெரிவித்த மன்சூர் அலிகான், படத்தின் வெற்றிக்காக வாழ்த்துகளையும் தெரிவித்தார்.

தயாரிப்பாளர் தனஞ்செயன் பேசும்போது, ‘ஆல் பாஸ்’ படக்குழுவினரிடையே நல்ல ஒருங்கிணைப்பும் உற்சாகமும் இருப்பதாகக் குறிப்பிட்டார்.

வடசென்னை மக்களைப் பற்றிய பொதுவான சினிமா பிம்பத்தை இப்படம் மாற்றும் வகையில் அமைந்துள்ளதாக அவர் பாராட்டினார்.

“வடசென்னை என்றாலே ஆக்ரோஷம், அடிதடி போன்ற ஒரு பிம்பம் தமிழ் சினிமாவில் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஆனால் உண்மையில் அங்கு மிகவும் இயல்பாகவும் எளிமையாகவும் வாழும் மக்கள் அதிகம். அந்த வாழ்வியலை இப்படம் பதிவு செய்திருப்பது பாராட்டுக்குரியது” என்றார்.

குறுகலான தெருக்கள், போக்குவரத்து நெரிசல் நிறைந்த பகுதிகள் உள்ளிட்ட சவாலான இடங்களில் சுமார் 45 நாட்கள் படப்பிடிப்பு நடத்தப்பட்டிருப்பதையும் அவர் பாராட்டினார்.

“கதை சொன்ன விதமே என்னை கவர்ந்தது” – ஜனனி

நடிகை ஜனனி, இயக்குநர் மைதீன் முதன்முதலில் கதையைச் சொன்னபோதே அது தனக்கு பிடித்துவிட்டதாகத் தெரிவித்தார்.

நடிகர் ஜெயப்பிரகாஷ் பேசும்போது, இயக்குநர் மைதீன் முழுக் கதையையும் விவரமாகச் சொன்னதாகவும், அதில் தனக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்த கதாபாத்திரத்தைத் தேர்வு செய்து நடிக்க முடிவு செய்ததாகவும் கூறினார்.

ஒரு சமையல்காரர், ஒரு பெயிண்டர், ஒரு சைக்கிள் கடைக்காரர் என மூன்று கதாபாத்திரங்களை மையமாக வைத்து அவர்களது குடும்ப வாழ்க்கை, குழந்தைகள், சந்தோஷம், சண்டை உள்ளிட்ட அன்றாட நிகழ்வுகளை இப்படம் பதிவு செய்திருப்பதாக அவர் தெரிவித்தார்.

பல திரைப்படங்களில் அதிகப்படியான வன்முறை இடம்பெறுவதைப் பார்க்கும்போது தனக்கு சில நேரங்களில் கேள்வி எழும் என்றும், ஆனால் ‘ஆல் பாஸ்’ படத்தைப் பார்க்கும்போது அத்தகைய உணர்வு ஏற்படாது என்றும் அவர் குறிப்பிட்டார்.

“இந்தப் படத்தைப் பார்க்கும்போது மன அமைதி கிடைக்கும். இயக்குநர் வடசென்னையை இதுவரை யாரும் காட்டாத ஒரு கோணத்தில் பதிவு செய்திருக்கிறார்” என்றார்.

தனது முதல் படமான ‘ஈசன்’ திரைப்படத்தில் சிறு வயதில் நடித்த அனுபவத்தை நினைவுகூர்ந்த துஷ்யந்த், 2008 முதல் 2026 வரை தனக்கு ஆதரவாக இருந்த அனைவருக்கும் நன்றி தெரிவித்தார்.

‘ஆல் பாஸ்’ படத்தில் ஜெயப்பிரகாஷ், செந்திகுமாரி, இயக்குநர் சுப்பிரமணிய சிவா, வினோதினி, பிரசன்ன பாலச்சந்திரன், மோகனா. ஆர், சத்யா, சஞ்சய், கோகுல், நிகில் உள்ளிட்டோர் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரங்களில் நடித்துள்ளனர்.

‘பாண்டியநாடு’, ‘எதிர்நீச்சல்’ உள்ளிட்ட படங்களில் நடித்த சரத் லோகித்ஷவா இப்படத்தில் வில்லன் கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடித்துள்ளார். ‘பாபநாசம்’ படத்தில் நடித்த ரோஷன் பஷீர், ‘பைசன்’ படத்தில் பி.டி. வாத்தியாராக நடித்த அருவி மதன் ஆகியோரும் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரங்களில் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளனர்.

Mansoor Ali Khan voices concerns over opportunities and recognition for artistes at the ‘All Pass’ audio and trailer launch

The audio and trailer launch event of ‘All Pass’, directed by Maideen and centred on the everyday lives and realities of North Chennai, was held in Chennai with the presence of several leading personalities from the Tamil film industry.

Produced by Mohana R. under the banner One Step Entertainment, the film has been written and directed by Maideen. Dushyanth, known for his roles in Nirangal Moondru and Tharunam, plays the lead, while Bigg Boss-fame Janani plays the female lead.

The film attempts to present a different side of North Chennai, moving beyond the familiar cinematic portrayal of the region as a backdrop for violence and gangsterism. Instead, it focuses on ordinary people, their families, relationships, aspirations and everyday struggles.

Maideen: “Assistant directors also need opportunities and recognition”

Speaking at the event, director Maideen thanked the senior artistes and technicians who supported his debut venture.

He highlighted the struggles faced by assistant directors in the film industry and said that their contribution often goes unnoticed.

“Assistant directors have their own struggles, but their identity in cinema is often not recognised. They can establish themselves only when they receive opportunities,” Maideen said.

He also recalled how actor Jayaprakash readily agreed to play an important role after hearing the complete story. He expressed his gratitude to music composer James Vasanthan as well for trusting the script and coming on board.

Maideen said that the film became possible because of the support and encouragement extended by several experienced personalities in the industry.

R.V. Udhayakumar praises the trailer and songs

Director R.V. Udhayakumar appreciated the trailer and songs of All Pass and praised the work of the film’s technical crew.

He also complimented Dushyanth for living the character rather than merely performing it, while praising Janani and the film’s music.

Vikraman recalls his long association with Jayaprakash

Director Vikraman spoke about his nearly three-decade association with actor Jayaprakash.

Recalling their professional journey, Vikraman said that he had known Jayaprakash for around 30 years and had been closely associated with his transition from acting to film production.

After watching the trailer and listening to the songs of All Pass, Vikraman praised the team and wished the film success.

Actor Mansoor Ali Khan’s speech became one of the major highlights of the event.

While praising All Pass, he stressed the importance of recognising every artiste and technician who contributes to a film.

“Every artiste and technician who works on a film deserves to be given due recognition. Their work should be promoted and acknowledged,” he said.

Mansoor Ali Khan also expressed his disappointment over the removal of a dance sequence he had performed for the recently released film Karuppu.

“I danced in the climax of Karuppu, but the sequence was completely removed. I was told that it would be released on YouTube, but that did not happen either. What kind of injustice is this?” he questioned.

He then made a strong appeal for greater opportunities and recognition for artistes who have been part of the industry for several years.

“Suriya and Karthi are big stars. Let them flourish. But let us live too. I have been an actor and producer for many years. I deserve justice as well,” Mansoor Ali Khan said.

He also voiced his displeasure over what he described as derogatory and unfounded comments made about artistes through social media and other platforms.

According to him, the contribution of every individual working in cinema should be respected, irrespective of their position or popularity.

He concluded by thanking the media and everyone involved in promoting All Pass, while wishing the film success.

Dhananjayan: “The film presents a different side of North Chennai”

Producer Dhananjayan praised the overall energy and coordination within the All Pass team.

He pointed out that Tamil cinema has often portrayed North Chennai primarily through violence and aggression, whereas the region is also home to a large number of people leading simple and ordinary lives.

“North Chennai has often been given an image of aggression and violence in Tamil cinema. But in reality, many people there lead very simple and ordinary lives. It is appreciable that this film attempts to capture that lifestyle,” he said.

He also highlighted the challenges of shooting the film for nearly 45 days in narrow streets and congested locations.

Dhananjayan congratulated producer Mohana R. for taking her first step as a producer and wished the entire team success.

Janani: “The story immediately impressed me”

Actress Janani said that she was impressed with the story when director Maideen narrated it to her for the first time.

She particularly liked the backdrop of the story and the director’s approach towards the locations where the film was shot.

Janani said that working with the entire cast and crew had been a memorable experience and added that she was eagerly looking forward to the film’s release.

She appealed to audiences to support All Pass.

 

Jayaprakash: “I decided that I had to play this character”

Actor Jayaprakash revealed that he chose his character after hearing the complete narration from director Maideen.

He said that the character immediately appealed to him and that he decided he should be the one to portray it.

According to Jayaprakash, the film remains faithful to the lifestyle it seeks to portray, from its dialogues and houses to its characters and situations.

The story revolves around three ordinary men — a cook, a painter and a bicycle shop owner — and explores their families, children, relationships, happiness and conflicts.

He praised the director for portraying North Chennai without resorting to exaggerated stereotypes.

James Vasanthan: “The film gives you a sense of peace”

Music composer James Vasanthan praised the performances and technical work in All Pass.

He said that while some films leave him wondering about the excessive violence portrayed on screen, All Pass creates an entirely different feeling.

“When you watch this film, you will not have such questions. Instead, you will get a sense of peace,” he said.

James Vasanthan also praised the art department and lyricist Mohan Rajan, who has penned four songs for the film.

He added that director Maideen has presented North Chennai from a perspective that has rarely been explored on screen.

Dushyanth: “This character will remain special in my journey”

Actor Dushyanth thanked director Maideen and producer Mohana for giving him the opportunity to play the lead role.

He said the character would remain an unforgettable part of his acting journey.

Dushyanth also spoke fondly about working alongside his father, actor Jayaprakash, in the film.

He recalled his early days in cinema and his experience of working in Easan as a child. He thanked everyone who had supported his journey from 2008 to 2026.

A strong technical team

The film features Jayaprakash, Senthilkumari, director Subramania Siva, Vinodhini, Prasanna Balachandran, Mohana R., Sathya, Sanjay, Gokul, Nikhil and others in important roles.

Sarath Lohitashwa, known for films such as Pandianadu and Ethir Neechal, plays the antagonist. Roshan Basheer of Papanasam fame and Aruvi Madan, who played the PT teacher in Bison, are also part of the cast.

Directors Moorthy and Kalaiarasan Kannusamy appear in comic roles.

Dhilraju, who has worked on films including Kalaga Thalaivan, Annadurai and Thagararu, is the cinematographer.

James Vasanthan has composed the music, while Mohan Rajan has penned the lyrics.

S. Baskar, known for his editing work in Pasanga, handles the editing. Jayaseelan D. is the art director, I. Radhika is the choreographer and Metro Mahesh has handled the stunt choreography.

‘All Pass’ promises a different look at North Chennai

With its attempt to move away from conventional stereotypes and portray the everyday lives of ordinary people in North Chennai, ‘All Pass’ has already generated attention following the release of its trailer and songs.

The audio and trailer launch also highlighted the film’s emphasis on the contribution of technicians and artistes, along with the importance of presenting a more realistic representation of North Chennai.

At the same time, Mansoor Ali Khan’s emotional appeal — “Let the big stars flourish, but let us live too” — emerged as one of the most talked-about moments of the event.

With its grounded setting, ensemble cast and focus on everyday human relationships, All Pass is now gearing up to meet audiences with a story that promises to showcase a different face of North Chennai.
