சென்னையில் நடைபெற்ற ‘எங்கள் தங்கம்’ திரைப்படத்தின் பத்திரிக்கையாளர் சந்திப்பு விழா உற்சாகமான சூழலில் நடைபெற்றது. நடிகை சமந்தா முதன்மைக் கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடித்துள்ள இந்த திரைப்படம், “This GOLD is BLOODY BOLD” என்ற வித்தியாசமான டேக் லைனுடன் உருவாகி, வரும் ஜூன் 19, 2026 அன்று உலகம் முழுவதும் திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாகவுள்ளது.

பிரபல படைப்பாளரும் தயாரிப்பாளருமான ராஜ் நிடிமொரு உருவாக்கியுள்ள இப்படத்தை இயக்குநர் பி.வி. நந்தினி ரெட்டி இயக்கியுள்ளார். ட்ரலாலா மூவிங் பிக்சர்ஸ் நிறுவனம் தயாரித்துள்ள இந்தப் படத்தை ராஜ் நிடிமொரு, சமந்தா மற்றும் ஹிமாங்க் ரெட்டி துவ்வுரு ஆகியோர் இணைந்து தயாரித்துள்ளனர்.

விழாவில் கலந்துகொண்ட படக்குழுவினர், திரைப்படம் குறித்த பல சுவாரஸ்ய தகவல்களை பகிர்ந்து கொண்டனர்.

 

ஒளிப்பதிவாளர் ஓம் பிரகாஷ் ISC, ‘எங்கள் தங்கம்’ திரைப்படம் தங்களுக்கெல்லாம் மிகவும் சிறப்பான அனுபவமாக அமைந்துள்ளதாக தெரிவித்தார். வழக்கமாக காதல் மற்றும் குடும்ப உணர்வுகளை மையமாகக் கொண்டு படங்களை இயக்கும் நந்தினி ரெட்டி, இந்த முறை முற்றிலும் மாறுபட்ட கதைக்களத்தை தேர்வு செய்துள்ளதாகவும், சமந்தா இதுவரை காணாத அளவிற்கு அதிரடி காட்சிகளில் தன்னை முழுமையாக அர்ப்பணித்துள்ளதாகவும் அவர் குறிப்பிட்டார். டிரெய்லரில் தெரியும் விறுவிறுப்பும் ஆற்றலும் முழுப் படத்திலும் தொடரும் என நம்பிக்கை தெரிவித்தார்.

“Tamil Cinema Is My Home; I Want to Act in Many More Tamil Films” – Samantha Gets Emotional at the ‘Engal Thangam’ Press Meet

The press meet of ‘Engal Thangam’, starring Samantha in the lead role, was held in Chennai amidst great enthusiasm. Carrying the striking tagline “This GOLD is BLOODY BOLD,” the film is all set for a worldwide theatrical release on June 19, 2026.

The film has been created by acclaimed filmmaker and producer Raj Nidimoru and directed by the talented B.V. Nandini Reddy. Produced under the banner of Tralala Moving Pictures, the film is jointly produced by Raj Nidimoru, Samantha, and Himank Reddy Duvvuru.

During the event, members of the cast and crew shared interesting insights about the film and their experiences working on it.

Cinematographer Om Prakash ISC described Engal Thangam as a very special project for the entire team. He revealed that while Nandini Reddy is known for her beautiful family and romantic entertainers, she has ventured into completely new territory with this film. He also praised Samantha’s dedication, highlighting that she has performed some of the most intense action sequences of her career in the movie. According to him, the energy and excitement seen in the trailer will continue throughout the film, making it a complete entertainer for audiences.

Veteran actress Gautami said working on the film was a delightful experience. She noted that the shoot was so enjoyable that it felt as though it ended too soon. Gautami explained that one of the main reasons she accepted the project was because of the people behind it, particularly Samantha and Nandini Reddy, whom she admires greatly for their talent, confidence, and professionalism.

She further emphasized that the film’s success should not be attributed to “women power” alone, but rather to the collective talent and hard work of everyone involved. According to her, the film boasts a strong story, excellent direction, quality production values, memorable performances, and outstanding music.

The highlight of the event was Samantha’s heartfelt speech. She shared that Chennai has always felt like home to her and that standing in a place where she spent her college years brought back many memories. Samantha expressed that one regret she has always carried is not having acted in more Tamil films over the years.

She added that she would love to continue working in Tamil cinema if offered strong stories and meaningful characters. Despite not appearing in many Tamil films in recent years, Samantha said the unwavering love and support from Tamil audiences has always touched her deeply and that she remains grateful for it.

Having worked on Engal Thangam not only as an actress but also as a producer, Samantha said the film gave her a deeper understanding of the challenges involved in making and releasing a movie. She acknowledged that the final stages of production were particularly demanding but expressed confidence that the team has created a film they can all be proud of.

She also thanked cinematographer Om Prakash, actress Gautami, and every member of the cast and crew for their contribution to the project. Samantha expressed hope that Engal Thangam would be a film that makes Tamil cinema proud.

Blending family emotions, action, relationships, and an unconventional storyline, Engal Thangam promises to be a complete entertainer.
