‘Iruvar’: Vijay Sethupathi Turns Lyricist for Director Kumaran’s New Musical Venture; Nivas K. Prasanna, Aditi Shankar and Sooraj Santhosh Join Hands!

A musical celebration of love, friendship and human emotions, ‘Iruvar’ brings together an exciting combination of talent, with its audio and lyrical video releasing under Saregama Originals on November 4, 2026.

Director Kumaran, who made his mark with the film Jada, is back with an interesting new venture titled Iruvar. Moving away from conventional filmmaking, this musical creation aims to tell a story through music, visuals and emotions.

Produced by Stonebrook Films, Iruvar brings together several talented names from the Tamil film and music industries. One of the biggest highlights of the project is that actor Vijay Sethupathi has penned the lyrics for the song, adding a special attraction to the musical venture.

Popularly known as Makkal Selvan, Vijay Sethupathi has earned a special place among audiences through his distinctive performances and choice of characters. With Iruvar, he explores another creative avenue by stepping into the role of a lyricist. His contribution has already created curiosity among music lovers.

The music for Iruvar has been composed by Nivas K. Prasanna, who is known for his work in films such as Thegidi, Sethupathi, Oh My Kadavule, Bison and Thaai Kizhavi. The song features the voices of Sooraj Santhosh and actress Aditi Shankar, who have come together to bring the emotions of the composition to life.

For Aditi Shankar, the project offers another opportunity to showcase her artistic talents, this time through her singing. The combination of Nivas K. Prasanna’s music, Vijay Sethupathi’s lyrics and the vocals of Aditi Shankar and Sooraj Santhosh makes Iruvar an interesting musical collaboration.
