ஒரு மனிதன் எவ்வளவு உயரம் சென்றாலும், அவனது வாழ்க்கையின் அடித்தளத்தை அமைத்த இடத்தை மறக்கக் கூடாது என்பதற்கு நடிகர் தனுஷ் சிறந்த முன்னுதாரணமாக திகழ்ந்துள்ளார். தான் கல்வி கற்ற பள்ளியின் வளர்ச்சிக்காக தனது சொந்த செலவில் மூன்று மாடிகள் கொண்ட புதிய கட்டிடத்தை அமைத்துக் கொடுத்து, கல்வி மீதான தனது நன்றியுணர்வை செயலில் வெளிப்படுத்தியுள்ளார்.

சென்னை சாலிகிராமம் 80 அடி சாலையில் அமைந்துள்ள தாய் சத்யா மெட்ரிகுலேஷன் பள்ளி, நடிகர் தனுஷின் கல்விப் பயணத்தின் தொடக்க இடமாகும். எல்கேஜி முதல் பத்தாம் வகுப்பு வரை அவர் இப்பள்ளியிலேயே கல்வி பயின்றார். பல ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு அதே பள்ளிக்குத் திரும்பிய அவர், பள்ளியின் பழைய மற்றும் சேதமடைந்த கட்டிட நிலையை அறிந்ததும், எந்தவித விளம்பரமும் இன்றி, தனது சொந்த செலவில் புதிய மூன்று தள கான்கிரீட் கட்டிடத்தை கட்டிக் கொடுக்க முன்வந்தார்.

இந்த புதிய கட்டிடத்திற்கு “தனுஷ் பிளாக்” என்று பெயரிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. சமீபத்தில் கட்டுமானப் பணிகள் நிறைவடைந்த நிலையில், இன்று நடைபெற்ற திறப்பு விழா பள்ளி நிர்வாகம், ஆசிரியர்கள், பழைய மாணவர்கள் மற்றும் பொதுமக்கள் முன்னிலையில் உணர்வுபூர்வமாக நடைபெற்றது.

இந்த நிகழ்வில் நடிகர் தனுஷுடன், அவருடைய பள்ளித் தோழரும் ஒளிப்பதிவாளருமான குமரன், 1999-ஆம் ஆண்டு பேட்ச் முன்னாள் மாணவர்கள், தனுஷின் சகோதரிகள் கார்த்திகா தேவி, விமலா கீதா உள்ளிட்ட பலர் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.

நிகழ்ச்சியில் பேசிய ஒளிப்பதிவாளர் குமரன், “நானும், என் மனைவி லட்சுமி கிருபாவும், தனுஷும் இந்தப் பள்ளியில்தான் ஒன்றாகப் படித்தோம். பின்னர் பிளஸ் டூவை வேறு பள்ளியில் தொடர்ந்தோம். அதன் பிறகு தனுஷ் சினிமாவுக்குச் சென்றார். நான் இன்ஜினியரிங் படித்துவிட்டு எதிர்பாராத விதமாக திரைத்துறைக்கு வந்து ஒளிப்பதிவாளராக மாறினேன். ‘வேலையில்லா பட்டதாரி’, ‘தங்கமகன்’ உள்ளிட்ட படங்களில் தனுஷுடன் இணைந்து பணியாற்றும் வாய்ப்பும் கிடைத்தது.

பள்ளியின் கட்டிட வசதி குறித்த தகவலை அறிந்ததும், யாரும் கேட்காமல் தானாக முன்வந்து இந்த மூன்று மாடிக் கட்டிடத்தை கட்டிக் கொடுத்தார். அதுமட்டுமல்லாமல், பள்ளியின் மற்ற பழைய கட்டிடங்களையும் சீரமைத்து, காலியாக உள்ள இடங்களில் புதிய கட்டிடங்களையும் அமைத்துத் தர விருப்பம் தெரிவித்துள்ளார். இது எங்களை மிகவும் பெருமைப்படவும், நெகிழ்ச்சியடையவும் செய்துள்ளது,” என்றார்.

திரையுலகில் வெற்றியின் உச்சத்தில் இருக்கும் நிலையில் கூட, தனது கல்வி கற்ற பள்ளியை மறக்காமல் அதன் வளர்ச்சிக்காக பெரும் பங்களிப்பு செய்துள்ள நடிகர் தனுஷின் இந்த மனிதநேய செயல், கல்வி நிறுவனங்களுக்கும் மாணவர்களுக்கும் ஒரு சிறந்த எடுத்துக்காட்டாக அமைந்துள்ளது. புகழும், வெற்றியும் உயர்ந்தாலும், வேர்களை மறக்காத மனப்பான்மையே ஒரு மனிதனின் உண்மையான உயரம் என்பதை இந்த செயல் மீண்டும் ஒருமுறை உணர்த்தியுள்ளது.

 

Dhanush Gives Back to His Alma Mater with a Three-Storey School Building; Seeks Blessings from Teachers in an Emotional Ceremony

Actor Dhanush has won hearts with a remarkable gesture of gratitude by funding the construction of a three-storey academic block at the school where he began his educational journey. The actor personally financed the project, reaffirming the importance of remembering one’s roots and giving back to the institution that shaped the early years of life.

The Thai Sathya Matriculation School, located on 80 Feet Road in Saligramam, Chennai, is where Dhanush studied from LKG through Class 10. After learning about the condition of one of the school’s ageing structures, he voluntarily came forward to replace it with a modern three-storey concrete building, entirely at his own expense.

The newly constructed facility has been named the “Dhanush Block.” Its inauguration was held today in the presence of Dhanush, school management, teachers, former students, family members, and well-wishers.

Among those who attended the event were cinematographer Kumaran, Dhanush’s longtime schoolmate, members of the 1999 batch, and Dhanush’s sisters, Karthika Devi and Vimala Geetha.

One of the most touching moments of the ceremony came when Dhanush met his former teachers, bowed at their feet, and sought their blessings. He also spent time interacting with them and posed for photographs, creating an emotional atmosphere that resonated with everyone present.

Speaking at the event, cinematographer Kumaran recalled his long association with the actor. “Dhanush, my wife Lakshmi Krupa, and I studied together at this school until Class 10. We later completed our higher secondary education at another school. While Dhanush entered the film industry, I pursued engineering before eventually becoming a cinematographer. I later had the opportunity to work with him on films such as Velaiilla Pattadhari and Thangamagan.”

Kumaran added that Dhanush learned about the deteriorating condition of the school’s infrastructure and immediately offered to build the new academic block without being asked. “He has also expressed his willingness to renovate the remaining old buildings and construct additional facilities on the vacant land within the campus. His generosity has deeply moved all of us,” he said.

Dhanush’s contribution stands as an inspiring example of gratitude and social responsibility. Despite achieving immense success in cinema, the actor has chosen to honour the institution that laid the foundation for his education. His thoughtful gesture serves as a reminder that true success is measured not only by achievements but also by the willingness to give back to the community that nurtured us.
