மைத்ரி மூவி மேக்கர்ஸ் சார்பில் நவீன் யெர்னேனி மற்றும் ஒய். ரவி சங்கர் தயாரித்துள்ள இப்படத்தை டி-சீரிஸ் பிலிம்ஸ் வழங்குகிறது. ரவி தேஜாவுடன் பிரியா பவானி சங்கர், குழந்தை நட்சத்திரம் நட்சத்திரா உள்ளிட்டோர் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரங்களில் நடித்துள்ளனர். ஜி.வி. பிரகாஷ் குமார் இசையமைத்துள்ள இப்படத்திற்கு விஷ்ணு ஷர்மா ஒளிப்பதிவு செய்துள்ளார்.

மூன்று விதமான கதைக்களங்களை இணைத்த ‘இருமுடி கட்டு’

படத்தின் தயாரிப்பாளர் ஒய். ரவி சங்கர் பேசும்போது, “திரில்லர், குடும்பக் கதை மற்றும் ஆன்மீகம் என மூன்று வெவ்வேறு அடுக்குகளைக் கொண்ட கதையை சிவா எங்களிடம் கூறினார். இந்த மூன்றையும் எப்படி ஒன்றாக இணைக்கப் போகிறார் என்ற ஆச்சரியம் ஆரம்பத்தில் எங்களுக்கு இருந்தது. ஆனால், அதை மிகவும் நேர்த்தியாக திரையில் கொண்டு வந்திருக்கிறார்.

வசனகர்த்தா விஜய் பாலாஜி பேசுகையில், “மைத்ரி மூவி மேக்கர்ஸ் நிறுவனத்துடன் ஏற்கனவே இரண்டு படங்களில் பணியாற்றியுள்ளேன். மூன்று தந்தைகளுக்கு இடையே நடைபெறும் வித்தியாசமான கதை இது. இந்தப் படத்தின் மிகப்பெரிய பலமாக ஜி.வி. பிரகாஷின் இசை அமைந்துள்ளது. மெட்ராஸ் தினத்தில் சென்னை வந்திருக்கும் ரவி தேஜா சாருக்கு இது ஒரு சிறப்பான தருணம். படம் அனைவருக்கும் பிடிக்கும் என்ற நம்பிக்கை உள்ளது” என்றார்.

‘மொழி ஒரு தடையல்ல’ – பிரியா பவானி சங்கர்

நடிகை பிரியா பவானி சங்கர் பேசுகையில், “கதையை முதலில் கேட்டபோதே இந்தப் படத்தின் மீது மிகப்பெரிய நம்பிக்கை ஏற்பட்டது. ஜி.வி. பிரகாஷ் இசையமைப்பாளராக இணைந்தபோது, படத்தின் பாடல்கள் நிச்சயம் பெரிய அளவில் பேசப்படும் என்ற நம்பிக்கை வந்தது.

மிகப்பெரிய கதாநாயகனின் படம் என்றாலும், படப்பிடிப்பின்போது கதையில் எந்தவிதமான தேவையற்ற மாற்றங்களும் செய்யாமல், இயக்குநர் சிவா தான் முதலில் சொன்ன கதையை அப்படியே படமாக்கியுள்ளார். அதில் நானும் ஒரு பகுதியாக இருப்பது பெருமையாக இருக்கிறது.

இயக்குநர் சிவா நிர்வாணா பேசுகையில், “தமிழ் சினிமாவுடன் எனக்கு எப்போதும் ஒரு உணர்வுப்பூர்வமான தொடர்பு உள்ளது. குறிப்பாக பாரதிராஜா சார், பாக்யராஜ் சார் ஆகியோரின் படங்கள் எனக்கு மிகவும் பிடிக்கும்.

ஒரு திரைப்படத்தைப் பார்த்துவிட்டு ரசிகர்கள் திரையரங்கை விட்டு வெளியே செல்லும்போது, அந்தப் படத்திலிருந்து ஏதாவது ஒரு விஷயத்தை தங்களுடன் எடுத்துச் செல்ல வேண்டும் என்பதே எனது எண்ணம். அந்த வகையான படங்களை உருவாக்க வேண்டும் என்று விரும்புகிறேன். அந்த வகையில் தமிழ் சினிமா எனக்கு நிறைய கொடுத்துள்ளது.

‘இருமுடி கட்டு’ குடும்பத்துடன் அமர்ந்து பார்க்கக்கூடிய திரைப்படமாக இருக்கும். படத்தை பார்த்து முடித்த பிறகு, அதன் தாக்கத்தால் நிச்சயம் உங்கள் மகள், மனைவி உள்ளிட்ட குடும்ப உறவுகளைப் பற்றி யோசிப்பீர்கள்.

இசையமைப்பாளர் ஜி.வி. பிரகாஷ் குமார் பேசுகையில், “ஒரு திரைப்படத்திற்கு இசையமைக்கும்போது அதன் கதை எனக்கு மிகவும் முக்கியம். ‘பொல்லாதவன்’, ‘ராஜா ராணி’ போன்ற படங்களின் கதைகளைக் கேட்டபோதே அவை வெற்றி பெறும் என்ற உணர்வு எனக்கு ஏற்பட்டது. அதேபோல ‘இருமுடி கட்டு’ படத்தின் கதையைக் கேட்டபோதும் இது நிச்சயம் வெற்றி பெறும் என்று தோன்றியது.

‘Irumudi Kattu’ Press Meet: Ravi Teja and Team Talk About Family, Faith and Emotional Storytelling

Chennai: The press meet of Irumudi Kattu, starring Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja and directed by Siva Nirvana, was held in Chennai. Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers and presented by T-Series Films, the film was released worldwide in theatres on August 21.

Featuring Ravi Teja, Priya Bhavani Shankar and child artiste Nakshatra in prominent roles, Irumudi Kattu explores family relationships, faith, emotional transformation and spirituality. The film has music by G.V. Prakash Kumar and cinematography by Vishnu Sharma.

A Story Blending Thriller, Family Drama and Spirituality

Producer Y. Ravi Shankar said that director Siva Nirvana had presented the story with three distinct layers — thriller, family drama and spirituality.

“When Siva narrated the story to us, we were surprised and wondered how these three elements could come together. But he has executed the idea beautifully on screen. Ravi Teja, Priya Bhavani Shankar and the entire technical team have done a wonderful job.

“We believe audiences across South India will embrace this film and that it could eventually become a cult classic. We feel that Lord Ayyappa himself chose Siva Nirvana to tell this story. Watch the film and share your thoughts,” he said.

A Story Revolving Around Three Fathers

Dialogue writer Vijay Balaji said he had already worked on two films with Mythri Movie Makers.

“This is a story that revolves around three fathers. One of the biggest strengths of the film is G.V. Prakash Kumar’s music. It is a special occasion to have Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja in Chennai on Madras Day. I am confident that audiences will enjoy the film,” he said.

“Writing Songs for Ravi Teja Was Something I Never Imagined”

Lyricist Balaji Venugopal said working on a Ravi Teja film was an opportunity he had never imagined.

“I never thought even in my dreams that I would write songs for a Ravi Teja sir film. I am extremely happy about this opportunity. I strongly believe Tamil audiences will celebrate this film.

“I am also happy about Priya Bhavani Shankar’s success. The climax moved me emotionally. All three songs I wrote for the film are important pieces that are closely integrated with the story. I am confident that audiences will connect with the film,” he said.

Cinematographer Vishnu Sharma said it was a privilege to work with Ravi Teja.

Director Siva Nirvana spoke about his emotional connection with Tamil cinema.

“I have always had an emotional connection with Tamil cinema. I particularly admire the films of Bharathiraja sir and K. Bhagyaraj sir.

“The film has received a very good response in Telugu. Families are coming together to watch it. I want Tamil audiences to experience the film in the same way.

G.V. Prakash Kumar: “Ravi Teja Has a Unique Commercial Style”

Composer G.V. Prakash Kumar said the story was the primary reason he came on board.

“For me, the story is extremely important when I work on a film. When I heard the stories of films like Polladhavan and Raja Rani, I immediately felt that they had blockbuster potential. I had the same feeling when I heard the story of Irumudi Kattu.

“Many heroes in the industry are fans of Ravi Teja sir. Just as Rajinikanth sir had a unique identity in commercial cinema, Ravi Teja sir also has a distinct style of his own. Many directors are also his fans.

“After this film, Siva Nirvana will have a separate fan base. The film has already become a major success in Telugu. I expect child artiste Nakshatra to receive several awards for her performance.
