The Tamil music scene welcomes a fresh musical venture as Rakita Entertainment marks its entry into the world of music with its first independent release, ‘Mannaru’, presented by Mannar Muthu and renowned music composer Santhosh Narayanan.
Released on August 8 across all major music platforms, ‘Mannaru’ brings together the distinctive voice of Mannar Muthu, the musical sensibilities of Santhosh Narayanan and the visual direction of Ken Royson, creating an energetic and unconventional musical experience.
Rather than being just another song release, ‘Mannaru’ brings together music, visual storytelling and the vibrant spirit of the community, giving the track a distinctive identity.
A Musical Blend of Energy and Authenticity
‘Mannaru’ has been conceptualised, composed and programmed by Santhosh Narayanan, while Mannar Muthu has lent his unique voice to the song. The lyrics have been penned by K. Kaattiyan and Gana Francis.
The musical arrangement combines a range of live instrumental performances, adding depth and energy to the track. Naveen Napier and Rubendhar Venkatesh have played the bass guitar, while Aditya Ravindran and Bhuvanesh have contributed on keyboards.
The instrumental ensemble also features Buddhar Kalaikuzhu on tapes, Siddharth Nagarajan on drums, Kacha Venkat on dholak and Muniya on side drum.
The recording was handled by Santhosh Narayanan, Karthik Manickavasagam, Rubendhar Venkatesh and Pranav Muniraj, with the track recorded at Future Tense Studios, Chennai.
Santhosh Narayanan has handled the mixing, with additional mixing by Rubendhar Venkatesh, while R.K. Sundar has taken care of the mastering. Meenakshi Santhosh has handled music management.
Vyasarpadi Becomes Part of the ‘Mannaru’ Visual Experience
One of the notable highlights of ‘Mannaru’ is its visual treatment, which brings an authentic community atmosphere to the song.
Directed by Ken Royson, the video is based on a concept by Santhosh Narayanan, with cinematography by Jagadesh Jeyamani and editing by Abhijeeth Lakshminarasimman.
Children and youngsters from Vyasarpadi have also participated in the video, adding a natural and lively dimension to the visuals. Special participation includes children from Vyasarpadi J.J.R. Nagar, members of the Vyasarpadi SC STEDS Football Team, and children from Sathya Moorthy Nagar Blocks 51, 52 and 53.
Their participation brings an authentic local flavour to the video and makes the visual experience closely connected to the everyday energy and spirit of the neighbourhood.
