பொங்கல் 2027 ரேஸில் முதல் அறிவிப்பை வெளியிட்ட ‘வேட்டுவம்’ – பா. இரஞ்சித்தின் பிரம்மாண்ட ஆக்ஷன் படத்திற்கு ரிலீஸ் தேதி அறிவிப்பு!

இயக்குநர் பா. இரஞ்சித் இயக்கத்தில் உருவாகி வரும் ‘வேட்டுவம்’ திரைப்படம், 2027-ம் ஆண்டு பொங்கல் பண்டிகையை முன்னிட்டு உலகம் முழுவதும் திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாகும் எனப் படக்குழு அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக அறிவித்துள்ளது. இதன் மூலம் அடுத்த ஆண்டு பொங்கல் வெளியீட்டுக்கான போட்டியில் தனது வருகையை முதலாவதாக உறுதிப்படுத்தியுள்ளது இப்படம்.

தமிழ் சினிமாவில் தனித்துவமான கதைக்களங்களையும், சமூகப் பின்னணியுடன் கூடிய படைப்புகளையும் வழங்கி வரும் பா. இரஞ்சித், இந்த முறை முற்றிலும் மாறுபட்ட களத்தில் ‘வேட்டுவம்’ படத்தை உருவாக்கி வருகிறார். நீலம் புரொடக்‌ஷன்ஸ் மற்றும் லேர்ன் அண்ட் டீச் புரொடக்‌ஷன் இணைந்து தயாரிக்கும் இப்படம், அபோகலிப்டிக் பின்னணியில் பிரம்மாண்டமான ஆக்ஷன் திரைப்படமாக உருவாகியுள்ளது.

ஏற்கெனவே 2027 பொங்கலைக் குறிவைத்து ‘தர்மன்’, ‘சேயோன்’ உள்ளிட்ட படங்கள் வெளியாகலாம் எனத் திரையுலகில் தகவல்கள் பரவி வருகின்றன. ஆனால், அவற்றின் வெளியீடு குறித்த அதிகாரப்பூர்வ அறிவிப்புகள் இன்னும் வெளியாகாத நிலையில், பொங்கல் வெளியீட்டை உறுதிப்படுத்தி அறிவித்துள்ள முதல் படமாக ‘வேட்டுவம்’ கவனம் பெற்றுள்ளது.

சமீபத்தில் வெளியான ‘World of Vettuvam’ வீடியோவும் படத்தின் மீதான எதிர்பார்ப்பை அதிகரித்துள்ளது. ஐந்து மொழிகளில் வெளியிடப்பட்ட இந்த வீடியோவுக்கு ஒவ்வொரு மொழியிலும் பிரபலங்கள் குரல் கொடுத்துள்ளனர். இந்தி பதிப்பில் பங்கஜ் திரிபாதி, தெலுங்கில் ராணா டகுபதி, மலையாளத்தில் சௌபின் ஷாஹிர், கன்னடத்தில் கிச்சா சுதீப் ஆகியோர் குரல் கொடுத்துள்ளனர். தமிழ் பதிப்புக்கு இயக்குநர் பா. இரஞ்சித் குரல் வழங்கியுள்ளார்.

அதிகாரப் போட்டி, குழுக்களுக்கு இடையிலான மோதல்கள், எதிர்பாராத திருப்பங்கள் எனப் பல அடுக்குகளைக் கொண்ட உலகத்தை மையமாக வைத்து இப்படத்தின் கதை அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. வழக்கமான சண்டைக் காட்சிகளுக்கு மாறாக, அடிமுறை மற்றும் மல்லகம்ப் போன்ற பாரம்பரியக் கலைகளையும் இணைத்து ஆக்ஷன் காட்சிகள் வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. இதற்காகப் படத்தில் நடித்துள்ள நடிகர்கள் சிறப்புப் பயிற்சிகளையும் மேற்கொண்டுள்ளனர்.

Vettuvam Enters the Pongal 2027 Race with Official Release Announcement; Pa. Ranjith’s Epic Action Film Set for Worldwide Theatrical Release!

Director Pa. Ranjith’s upcoming film Vettuvam is officially set to hit theatres worldwide during the Pongal festival in 2027. With this announcement, the film has become the first to officially confirm its release for the festive season, setting the stage for an exciting Pongal box-office race.

Known for exploring unconventional themes and socially rooted narratives, Pa. Ranjith is stepping into a different cinematic territory with Vettuvam. Produced jointly by Neelam Productions and Learn and Teach Production, the film is being made on a grand scale against an apocalyptic backdrop, promising an intense action-driven cinematic experience.

Although reports have been circulating about films such as Dharman and Seyon potentially targeting the 2027 Pongal season, their release plans are yet to receive official confirmation. In this scenario, Vettuvam has taken the lead by formally announcing its Pongal release, making it the first film to enter the festive release race.

The recently released promotional video, titled World of Vettuvam, has also generated considerable interest among audiences and film enthusiasts. Released in five languages, the video features prominent voices from across the Indian film industry. Pankaj Tripathi lends his voice to the Hindi version, Rana Daggubati to the Telugu version, Soubin Shahir to the Malayalam version, and Kichcha Sudeep to the Kannada version. Director Pa. Ranjith himself has voiced the Tamil version.

Set in an apocalyptic world, the film revolves around power struggles, conflicts between different groups and a series of unexpected twists. The action sequences are said to draw inspiration from traditional martial arts forms such as Adimurai and Mallakhamb, bringing a distinct physical style to the film’s action choreography. The actors have reportedly undergone specialised training to prepare for their respective roles and action sequences.

The film features Arya, Dinesh, Shabeer, Shobita Dhulipala and Kalaiyarasan in prominent roles.

On the technical front, S.S. Moorthy is handling the art direction, Rupesh Shaji is the cinematographer, Selva R.K. is overseeing the editing, G.V. Prakash Kumar is composing the music, and Dhilip Subbarayan is choreographing the action sequences.

Made as a pan-Indian project in five languages, Vettuvam is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release during Pongal 2027. With its expansive fictional world, distinctive narrative backdrop and high-intensity action sequences, the film is shaping up to be one of the notable releases to watch out for during the festive season.
