இயக்குநர் சவிர் சுதாகர் இயக்கத்தில், எஸ்.எஸ். குழுமத்தின் சார்பில் சிங்காரவேலன் தயாரித்துள்ள இந்த ஆறு அத்தியாய தொடர், கிரிக்கெட் ரசிகர்களின் வாழ்க்கையில் நிகழும் ஒரு மறக்க முடியாத அனுபவத்தை திரையில் பதிவு செய்கிறது.
ஒரு சிறிய கிராமத்தைச் சேர்ந்த நண்பர்கள் குழு, தங்களது அபிமான கிரிக்கெட் நட்சத்திரத்தின் கடைசி போட்டியை நேரில் காண வேண்டும் என்ற ஒரே ஆசையுடன் சென்னை நோக்கி பயணிக்கிறார்கள். ஆனால் அவர்கள் நினைத்ததை விட அந்தப் பயணம் பல மடங்கு சுவாரஸ்யமாகவும், உணர்வுபூர்வமாகவும் மாறுகிறது. நட்பு, நம்பிக்கை, சவால்கள், ஏமாற்றங்கள், மகிழ்ச்சி என வாழ்க்கையின் பல வண்ணங்களை சந்திக்கும் அவர்கள், இறுதியில் இலக்கை அடைவதை விட பயணமே எவ்வளவு முக்கியம் என்பதை உணர்கிறார்கள்.

Directed by Savir Sudhakar and produced by Singaravelan under the banner of SS Group, the six-episode series is a heartfelt tribute to cricket fans and the extraordinary lengths they go to in pursuit of their passion.
At the heart of Mammattiyan Stars is a group of die-hard cricket enthusiasts from a small village who embark on a memorable journey to Chennai to witness the final match of their beloved cricket hero. What begins as a dream trip soon transforms into an emotional adventure filled with friendship, unexpected challenges, laughter, heartbreak, and life-changing experiences. Along the way, they discover that sometimes the journey itself becomes more meaningful than the destination.
The series features an ensemble cast including Vaibhav Murugesan, Lavanya Anbazhagan, Venkata Balamurali, Jagabar Sadik, Naan Kadavul Rajendran, and Vivek Prasanna in pivotal roles. Through relatable characters and authentic storytelling, the series beautifully reflects the passion for cricket that runs deep across Tamil Nadu.
