நிகழ்ச்சியில் பேசிய நடிகர் யாஷ், தமிழ் ரசிகர்களுக்கு தனது நன்றியை தெரிவித்தார்.

இயக்குநர் கீது மோகன்தாஸ் பேசும்போது, தனது நீண்டகால சினிமா பயணம் குறித்தும், யாஷ் தன் மீது வைத்த நம்பிக்கை குறித்தும் குறிப்பிட்டார்.

“எனக்கு 4 வயதாக இருந்தபோதே எனது சினிமா பயணம் தொடங்கிவிட்டது. முதல் படத்தை முடித்தபோது, என்னால் இரண்டாவது படத்தை இயக்க முடியும் என்று யாரும் நம்பவில்லை. அந்த நிலை தொடர்ந்து கொண்டே இருந்தது.

ஆனால் இப்போது இந்தியாவின் மிகப்பெரிய நட்சத்திரமான யாஷ் சார் என் மீது நம்பிக்கை வைத்து, ‘நீங்கள் இதை செய்யுங்கள்’ என்று கூறினார். ‘படையப்பா’ உள்ளிட்ட பல மாஸ் மற்றும் கமர்ஷியல் திரைப்படங்களை எனக்கு ரெஃபரன்ஸாக யாஷ் சார் காட்டினார்.

கீது மோகன்தாஸ் என்னை அணுகியபோது கதாபாத்திரம் குறித்து அதிகம் சொல்லவில்லை. ‘என்னை நம்பு’ என்று மட்டும் கூறினார். அவர் சொன்னதைப் போலவே அசத்தலான படைப்பை உருவாக்கியிருக்கிறார்.

“‘ஜனநாயகன்’ திரைப்படத்தை வெற்றிப்படமாக்கிய அனைவருக்கும் நன்றி. குறிப்பாக, எனது கடினமான காலகட்டத்தில் எனக்கு ஆதரவாக நின்ற தளபதி விஜய் சாரின் ரசிகர்களுக்கு மனமார்ந்த நன்றி.

மூன்று பாடல்கள் எழுதிய விக்னேஷ் சிவன்

Grand ‘Toxic’ Pre-Release Event Held in Chennai

“Cinema is not divided by Kannada, Tamil or Telugu; it is Indian Cinema” – Yash

Chennai: The much-awaited pre-release event of ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’, starring Rocking Star Yash and directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Geetu Mohandas, was held in a grand manner at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai.

Produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, the film brings together action, the gangster world, family relationships, betrayal and power struggles. The film is set to release worldwide in theatres on August 26, 2026.

As part of the promotional campaign ahead of the worldwide release, the team has been travelling across various cities in India. The Chennai event was organised especially to meet Tamil audiences and promote the Tamil version of the film.

The event witnessed the presence of Yash, Geetu Mohandas, Kiara Advani, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi, Sudev Nair, lyricist-director Vignesh Shivan and producer Venkat Narayan, among others. The gathering further fuelled the anticipation surrounding the film among Tamil audiences.

Addressing the gathering, Yash expressed his gratitude to Tamil audiences for the love and support they have extended to him over the years.

“People of Tamil Nadu, you have always showered immense love on me. The love you gave me when I came here for KGF was unforgettable. I bow to the people of Tamil Nadu for that affection.

When Jana Nayagan was leaked online, it was an extremely painful moment for the producer. But even during that difficult time, the love you showed was unconditional. The love you have for Vijay sir is also like that.

Toxic is a film about curiosity and emotions. It takes us into a completely different world and will be a grand cinematic feast for audiences.

Director Geetu Mohandas spoke about her long journey in cinema and the faith Yash placed in her vision.

“I started my journey in cinema when I was just four years old. When I completed my first film, nobody believed that I would be able to direct a second film. That continued for a long time.

But today, one of India’s biggest stars, Yash sir, believed in me and told me, ‘You do this.’

Yash sir showed me several mass and commercial films, including Padayappa, as references. Toxic is going to be Yash’s 2.0 version.

I would like to thank our cinematographer, music composer and every technician who worked tirelessly for this film.

Nayanthara is not only a wonderful actress but also an amazing human being. All my co-stars have been incredible and have brought their own strengths to the film.

Producer Venkat Narayan of KVN Productions thanked audiences for their support and spoke about his experience with Jana Nayagan.

“I thank everyone who made Jana Nayagan a blockbuster success. I especially want to thank Thalapathy Vijay sir’s fans who stood by me during one of the most difficult phases of my journey.

Vijay sir had said that this would be his last film in cinema. I feel a great emptiness seeing him away from the big screen. I once again request Vijay sir to return to acting.

Vignesh Shivan reveals he penned three songs

Lyricist and director Vignesh Shivan spoke about his association with the film and his admiration for Yash.

“It is a great honour for me to stand here. Yash sir is an icon whom I admire immensely.

Initially, I got the opportunity to write one song for the film. Later, I was given the opportunity to write another, and eventually I wrote three songs for Toxic.
