செப்டம்பர் 17 முதல் திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாகும் ‘என்ன விலை’
ஒரு கதையில் கதாபாத்திரங்கள் எவ்வளவு முக்கியமோ, அதே அளவுக்கு அந்தக் கதாபாத்திரங்களைத் தேர்வு செய்து நடிக்கும் நடிகர்களும் முக்கியம். குறிப்பாக, தனக்குக் கிடைக்கும் ஒவ்வொரு கதாபாத்திரத்திலும் வித்தியாசமான நடிப்பை வெளிப்படுத்தி வரும் நிமிஷா சஜயன், தற்போது ‘என்ன விலை’ திரைப்படத்தின் மூலம் மற்றுமொரு அழுத்தமான கதாபாத்திரத்தை ரசிகர்களிடம் கொண்டு வருகிறார்.
பல மொழிகளில் தொடர்ந்து நடித்து வரும் நிமிஷா சஜயன், வழக்கமான கதைகளைத் தவிர்த்து, நடிப்புக்கு முக்கியத்துவம் உள்ள கதாபாத்திரங்களைத் தேர்வு செய்து வருகிறார். சமீபத்தில் வெளியான இந்திப் படமான ‘பபிதா சிங் ரிப்போர்ட்டிங்’ உள்ளிட்ட படங்களில் அவரது மாறுபட்ட நடிப்பு கவனம் பெற்ற நிலையில், அந்த வரிசையில் ‘என்ன விலை’ திரைப்படமும் இணைகிறது.
இந்தப் படத்தில் நிமிஷா சஜயன் காஞ்சனா என்ற கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடித்துள்ளார். இந்த கதாபாத்திரத்தைத் தான் தேர்வு செய்த விதம் குறித்து அவர் பகிர்ந்து கொண்ட சம்பவம் தற்போது படக்குழுவினர் மத்தியில் பேசுபொருளாகியுள்ளது.
“இயக்குநர் சஜீவ் பழூர் என்னிடம் கதையைச் சொன்னபோது, என்னுடைய கதாபாத்திரம் எது என்பதை அவர் முதலில் சொல்லவில்லை. இரண்டு கதாபாத்திரங்களுமே எனக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்திருந்தன. இரண்டுமே அழகாகவும், வலுவாகவும் எழுதப்பட்டிருந்தன.
அதனால், விஜயலட்சுமியா அல்லது காஞ்சனாவா என்ற எதிர்பார்ப்பு எனக்குள் இருந்தது. உண்மையைச் சொன்னால், எந்தக் கதாபாத்திரம் கொடுத்தாலும் நான் சந்தோஷமாக நடித்திருப்பேன். விஜயலட்சுமி கதாபாத்திரத்தையும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளத் தயாராக இருந்தேன். அதே நேரத்தில் காஞ்சனா கதாபாத்திரமும் எனக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்திருந்தது.
இறுதியாக, காஞ்சனா கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நான் நடிக்க வேண்டும் என்று சஜீவ் சொன்னபோது, எனக்கு கண்ணீர் வந்துவிட்டது. அவரைக் கட்டிப்பிடித்து, ‘ஏன் இப்படிச் செய்தீர்கள்?’ என்று கேட்டேன். அந்த அளவுக்கு அந்த தருணம் எனக்கு உணர்ச்சிப்பூர்வமாக இருந்தது.
‘என்ன விலை’ படத்தின் முக்கியமான சிறப்பு, இதில் வரும் ஒவ்வொரு கதாபாத்திரத்துக்கும் தனித்தனியான உணர்வுப்பூர்வமான பயணம் இருப்பதுதான். கருணாஸ் சாருடன் எனக்கு அதிக காட்சிகள் இல்லை என்றாலும், அவரது நடிப்பு அசாத்தியமாக இருந்தது. விஜயலட்சுமி கதாபாத்திரமும் வலுவான தாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்தும் வகையில் அமைந்துள்ளது.
பத்திரிகையாளர்கள் மற்றும் ஊடகத்துறையினர் படத்தையும், எனது கதாபாத்திரத்தையும் பாராட்டியது மிகுந்த மகிழ்ச்சியை அளிக்கிறது. இந்தக் கதாபாத்திரங்களை இவ்வளவு அழுத்தமாக உருவாக்கியதற்கான முழுப் பாராட்டும் இயக்குநர் சஜீவுக்கே சேரும். ‘என்ன விலை’ ரசிகர்களின் மனதில் நீண்ட காலம் நினைவில் நிற்கும் படமாக இருக்கும் என்று நம்புகிறேன்” என நிமிஷா சஜயன் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

ராமேஸ்வரம் அருகே கடலில் பக்தர்கள் காணிக்கையாக செலுத்தும் நாணயங்களை மீட்டு, அதன் மூலம் வாழ்க்கையை நடத்தி வரும் ஒருவரின் வாழ்க்கையே இப்படத்தின் மையக்கதை. தனது வாழ்வாதாரத்தையும், கண்ணியத்தையும் காப்பாற்ற அவர் நடத்தும் போராட்டம், ஒரு கட்டத்தில் முக்கியமான சட்டப் போராட்டமாக மாறுகிறது.

‘Enna Vile’ to hit theatres worldwide on September 17
For an actor, choosing the right character can often be as important as the story itself. Known for taking up challenging roles that offer scope for performance, actress Nimisha Sajayan is now gearing up for the release of her upcoming Tamil film ‘Enna Vile’, in which she plays the character of Kanchana.
Nimisha, who has been working across multiple languages, has earned appreciation for choosing diverse and performance-oriented roles. Her recent appearance in the Hindi film ‘Babita Singh Reporting’, among other projects, has further showcased her versatility. ‘Enna Vile’ is expected to add another interesting character to her filmography.
Interestingly, Nimisha says she was not initially told which of the two important female characters she would be playing when director Sajeev Palur narrated the story to her.
“When Sajeev narrated the story to me, he did not tell me which character he had in mind for me. He simply said, ‘Now you choose.’ Both characters were beautifully written and had a lot of depth. Rishi’s character was also wonderfully designed.
“So, naturally, I was curious to know whether I would be playing Vijayalakshmi or Kanchana. But honestly, I would have been happy with either role. I was even ready to take up Vijayalakshmi’s character because I really liked it.
“At the same time, I was also very drawn to Kanchana. When Sajeev finally told me that I would be playing Kanchana, I became emotional and tears came to my eyes. I hugged him and asked, ‘Why did you do this?’ Both characters were so beautifully and strongly written that I genuinely did not know which one he would choose for me. When he said, ‘This is your character,’ it became a very emotional moment for me,” Nimisha Sajayan recalled.
According to the actress, one of the biggest strengths of ‘Enna Vile’ is the emotional journey given to each character.
“One of the special things about ‘Enna Vile’ is that every character has a deep emotional journey. I do not have many scenes with Karunas sir, but his performance is extraordinary. The Vijayalakshmi character also has a very strong impact, and the actress who plays it has done a wonderful job.
“I am very happy that journalists and members of the media have appreciated the film and my character during the screenings. The entire credit for creating these characters with such life and depth goes to director Sajeev. I strongly believe that ‘Enna Vile’ will remain a memorable film for audiences,” she added.
A Common Man’s Struggle That Turns Into a Legal Battle
Set against a socially relevant backdrop, ‘Enna Vile’ revolves around the life of a man who survives by retrieving coins offered by devotees in the sea near Rameswaram.
What begins as a struggle to earn a livelihood with dignity eventually develops into a significant legal battle. The film explores his journey and the challenges he faces while fighting for his livelihood and self-respect.
The film features Karunas, Nimisha Sajayan, Shasha Sivakumar, Vijayalakshmi Veeramani, Siddha Darshan, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Y.G. Mahendran, Motta Rajendran, Nizhalgal Ravi, Praveena, Mohan Ram, Chetan Kumar, Kavithalaya Krishnan, Kamalesh, Goli Soda Pandi, J.S. Kavi, Swaminathan, Deepa Shankar and Kavi Nakkalites, among others.
Written and directed by Sajeev Palur, the film is produced by Jithesh V under the banner of Kalamaya Films. Sam C.S. has composed the music, while Alby Antony has handled the cinematography. Sreejit Sarang is the editor.
The positive response from preview screenings and the press screening has given the team an additional boost ahead of the theatrical release.
‘Enna Vile’ is scheduled to release worldwide in theatres on September 17.
