இந்தச் சமூக தாக்கத்தை முன்னிறுத்தி, டெல்லி தமிழ்ச் சங்கம் ‘நந்தன்’ திரைப்படத்தை சமூக மாற்றத்தை ஏற்படுத்திய முக்கியமான படைப்பாகத் தேர்வு செய்து, நடிகர் சசிகுமார் மற்றும் இயக்குநர் இரா.சரவணன் ஆகியோருக்கு பாராட்டு விழா நடத்தி கவுரவித்தது.
டெல்லியில் நடைபெற்ற இந்த நிகழ்வில் இந்திய கலாச்சார அமைச்சகத்தின் இயக்குநர் ஷா பைசல் ஐஏஎஸ் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக கலந்து கொண்டு, “சமூகத்தின் உண்மைகளை பிரதிபலிக்கும் திரைப்படங்களே நீண்ட காலம் மக்களின் நினைவில் நிற்கும். நல்ல படைப்புகளை கொண்டாடுவது சமூக முன்னேற்றத்திற்கு அவசியம்” என்று குறிப்பிட்டார்.

Recognising the film’s impact, the Delhi Tamil Sangam organised a special felicitation ceremony to honour actor Sasikumar and director R. Saravanan. The event celebrated Nandan as a film that successfully used the medium of cinema to raise awareness about important social issues.
The ceremony, held in New Delhi on June 20, 2026, was attended by senior members of the Delhi Tamil Sangam, film enthusiasts, and distinguished guests. Among them was , Director at India’s Ministry of Culture, who praised the role of meaningful cinema in reflecting society and encouraging positive change.
Speaking at the event, Shah Faesal noted that films that honestly portray social realities leave a lasting impact on audiences and contribute to societal progress. Members of the Delhi Tamil Sangam also commended the courage and commitment involved in bringing socially relevant stories to the screen.
During the interaction session, Sasikumar reflected on the emotional responses he received after the film’s release, describing them as among the most rewarding moments of his career. He shared that appreciation from people whose lives resonated with the film’s message was as valuable as any major award.
