லைகா புரொடக்ஷன்ஸ் சுபாஸ்கரன் தயாரிப்பில் உருவாகியுள்ள ‘சிக்மா’ திரைப்படம் மூலம் ஜேசன் சஞ்சய் இயக்குநராக தமிழ் திரையுலகில் அறிமுகமாகிறார். சந்தீப் கிஷன் கதாநாயகனாக நடித்துள்ள இப்படத்தில் ஃபரியா அப்துல்லா உள்ளிட்ட பலர் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரங்களில் நடித்துள்ளனர். அக்டோபர் 2-ஆம் தேதி உலகம் முழுவதும் திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாகவுள்ள இப்படத்தின் ப்ரீ-ரிலீஸ் நிகழ்வு உற்சாகமாக நடைபெற்றது.

நிகழ்ச்சியில் பேசிய லைகா புரொடக்ஷன்ஸ் தமிழ் பிரிவின் தலைவர் தமிழ்குமரன், ‘சிக்மா’ திரைப்படம் ஜேசன் சஞ்சய்க்கு மட்டுமல்லாமல் லைகா நிறுவனத்திற்கும் முக்கியமான படைப்பு எனக் குறிப்பிட்டார்.

லைகா புரொடக்ஷன்ஸ் தயாரித்த முதல் திரைப்படமான ‘கத்தி’யில் தொடங்கிய பயணத்தில், தற்போது ஜேசன் சஞ்சய் போன்ற புதிய இயக்குநருக்கு அறிமுக வாய்ப்பளிப்பதில் பெருமை கொள்வதாக அவர் தெரிவித்தார்.

Jason Sanjay is all set to make his directorial debut in Tamil cinema with Sigma, produced by Subaskaran under the prestigious Lyca Productions banner. The film stars Sundeep Kishan in the lead, alongside Faria Abdullah and several others in important roles.

Scheduled for a theatrical release on October 2, Sigma recently held its pre-release event, with the cast and crew sharing their experiences and expressing confidence about the film.

Speaking at the event, Lyca Productions Tamil Head Tamil Kumaran described Sigma as a significant project not only for debutant director Jason Sanjay but also for the production house.

He recalled Lyca Productions’ journey in supporting emerging filmmakers and expressed pride in introducing Jason Sanjay as a director through their banner. Tamil Kumaran also praised Jason’s filmmaking abilities and said the film had shaped up well.

Referring to the production house’s earlier association with filmmakers such as Nelson through Kolamaavu Kokila and Cibi Chakravarthy through Don, he expressed confidence that Jason Sanjay too would carve out a successful place for himself in the Tamil film industry.

Tamil Kumaran further stated that the team is hopeful of Sigma becoming a major commercial success and believes the film has the potential to cross the Rs.100 crore mark at the box office.

Actress Faria Abdullah said that Sigma is a very special film for her and praised Jason Sanjay’s passion for cinema and filmmaking. She also expressed confidence that audiences would get to see Sundeep Kishan in a character unlike anything he has portrayed before.

Lyricist Super Subu appreciated Lyca Productions for giving Jason Sanjay such an important opportunity for his directorial debut. He praised the young filmmaker’s clarity and patience in working with the team and expressed his confidence that the film would emerge as a major success.

Actor Sundeep Kishan described Sigma as a rare and special project in his career.

Thanking Jason Sanjay for trusting him with the lead role in his debut film, Sundeep said the director had worked extremely hard to establish his own identity through the project.
