மருத்துவ விழிப்புணர்வை மையமாகக் கொண்ட ‘செய்! செய்யாதே!’ – இசை, டிரெய்லர் வெளியீட்டில் சமூகப் பொறுப்பை வலியுறுத்திய படக்குழு

 

சென்னை: சமூகத்தில் அதிகரித்து வரும் போதைப்பொருள் பயன்பாடு, சுயமருந்து உட்கொள்ளும் பழக்கம், தவறான மருத்துவ தகவல்களின் தாக்கம் உள்ளிட்ட பிரச்சினைகள் குறித்து விழிப்புணர்வு ஏற்படுத்தும் நோக்கில் உருவாகியுள்ள ‘செய்! செய்யாதே!’ திரைப்படத்தின் இசை மற்றும் டிரெய்லர் வெளியீட்டு விழா, திரையுலகினர், மருத்துவத் துறை பிரமுகர்கள் மற்றும் சிறப்பு விருந்தினர்கள் முன்னிலையில் உற்சாகமாக நடைபெற்றது.

விழாவில் வெளியிடப்பட்ட இசை மற்றும் டிரெய்லருக்கு பாராட்டு தெரிவித்த சிறப்பு விருந்தினர்கள், சமூகப் பொறுப்புணர்வை மையமாகக் கொண்ட இந்த திரைப்படம் இளம் தலைமுறையினரிடம் விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தும் வகையில் அமையும் என்ற நம்பிக்கையை வெளிப்படுத்தினர்.

நிகழ்ச்சியில் பேசிய தயாரிப்பாளர் ஃபைவ் ஸ்டார் கதிரேசன், தமிழகத்தில் சினிமாவும் அரசியலும் பல ஆண்டுகளாக ஒன்றோடொன்று இணைந்து பயணித்து வருவதாகக் குறிப்பிட்டார். ஒரு நல்ல திரைப்படம் மனிதர்களின் வாழ்க்கையையே மாற்றும் சக்தி கொண்டது என்பதை தனது ‘ஜிகர்தண்டா’ திரைப்படத்தை எடுத்துக்காட்டாக கூறிய அவர், இந்தப் படத்தில் ஹெச். ராஜா முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடித்திருப்பது படத்திற்கு கூடுதல் பலமாக அமையும் என்றார். அமெரிக்காவில் மருத்துவராக பணியாற்றிய டாக்டர் எஸ். ராஜா, சினிமா மீதான ஆர்வத்தால் இயக்குநராக மாறியிருப்பது பாராட்டத்தக்க விஷயம் என்றும், படக்குழுவினருக்கு தனது வாழ்த்துகளைத் தெரிவித்தார்.

மத்திய திரைப்படத் தணிக்கைக் குழு (CBFC) சான்றிதழ் பெற்றுள்ள ‘செய்! செய்யாதே!’ திரைப்படம் 2026 செப்டம்பர் மாதம் திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாக உள்ளது.

‘Sei! Seiyyadhe!’ Audio & Trailer Launch Highlights Film’s Strong Social Message

Chennai: The audio and trailer launch of ‘Sei! Seiyyadhe!’, a socially driven film aimed at creating awareness among the younger generation, was held in the presence of film personalities, medical professionals, and distinguished guests.

The event showcased the film’s music and trailer, both of which received appreciation from the guests for addressing important social issues. The speakers expressed confidence that the film would leave a positive impact on audiences, particularly the youth, through its strong message on health awareness and social responsibility.

Producer Five Star Kathiresan said cinema has always had the power to influence society and transform lives. He praised director Dr. S. Raja, who left a successful medical career in the United States to pursue his passion for filmmaking, describing it as a testament to cinema’s powerful appeal. He also expressed confidence that the film’s socially relevant theme would resonate with audiences and wished success to the entire team.

Former Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan congratulated the filmmakers for bringing a socially responsible subject to the big screen. She noted that it was inspiring to see someone from public life step into filmmaking with the intention of spreading awareness through cinema. She appreciated the film’s focus on medical awareness and wished the team great success.

Director Dr. S. Raja (M.D., USA) said the film highlights several pressing issues affecting today’s society, including drug abuse, self-medication, misinformation about healthcare, and the responsibilities shared by parents, teachers, and medical professionals. He revealed that he travelled repeatedly from the United States to India to complete the project despite several challenges. Dr. Raja also thanked the cast and crew for their dedication, adding that he hopes the film creates opportunities for more meaningful and socially relevant cinema in Tamil.

Political leader H. Raja, who plays a key role in the film, shared that the cast performed without makeup to maintain authenticity and realism. He appreciated the director’s commitment to presenting the story in a natural and sincere manner, expressing confidence that audiences would appreciate the film’s honest approach. He also highlighted that the film portrays the dedication and struggles of nurses and frontline healthcare workers.

The makers described ‘Sei! Seiyyadhe!’ as a film that blends entertainment with a strong social message, focusing on medical ethics, humanitarian values, responsible healthcare, and the fight against drug abuse. The story also explores the dangers of self-medication, the spread of misleading medical information, the impact of broken family relationships, and the importance of making responsible life choices.

Produced by Harini Subbu Cine Creations, the film is written and directed by Dr. S. Raja (M.D., USA), with Subbulakshmi Jayaram (California, USA) serving as producer.

The film stars H. Raja as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Dr. S. Raja as Dr. Chandrabose, Guru Vijay as Dr. Vijay, Darshini Reddy as Dr. Vijayalakshmi, Prathiksha Mano Prashanth, Chidambaram PDK, Mounika Preethi V, and Tabitha Gunaratne in prominent roles.

With a CBFC certification already in place, ‘Sei! Seiyyadhe!’ is slated for a theatrical release in September 2026.
