‘I Was Happy When Fahadh Called Me Anna!’ – Suriya at the ‘Don’t Trouble The Trouble’ Event

Chennai:
The much-anticipated film Don’t Trouble The Trouble, which has been generating interest with its unique storyline and distinctive approach to filmmaking, recently held a special event. Actor Suriya attended the occasion as a special guest and extended his wishes to the entire team. During his interaction, he spoke about his bond with Fahadh Faasil, SS Rajamouli’s contribution to Indian cinema, films centred around children, and the unique appeal of the film.

Speaking at the event, Suriya said that he was extremely happy to be part of the occasion.

“Even a small message would have been enough for me to come here. We always speak proudly about Tamil Nadu’s hospitality, but the way people in Andhra welcome and take care of their guests is truly beautiful,” he said.

‘The Idea of a Spirit Kidnapping Someone Itself Is Intriguing’

Talking about the film’s premise, Suriya said the central idea itself creates curiosity.

“The thought of a spirit kidnapping someone is very intriguing. The fact that SS Rajamouli is presenting the film and Fahadh Faasil is leading it makes the project even more special,” he said.

‘Fahadh Calling Me Anna Made Me Very Happy’

Suriya also spoke warmly about his friendship with Fahadh Faasil and praised the actor for his choice of films and characters.

“Fahadh and I share a great bond. We have spoken a lot, laughed together and spent a lot of time together. Today, he called me ‘Anna’, and that genuinely made me very happy. Let him continue calling me Anna. He doesn’t have to call me Sir,” Suriya said.

He further added that he has immense respect for Fahadh for consistently choosing different stories and challenging scripts.

‘Sara, Do What You Like and Follow What You Believe In’

Suriya also had a special word for young actor Sara, highlighting the innocence and beauty of children.

“Children are always beautiful, and Sara is no different. We often kept asking her whether we should do this or that and ended up confusing her. But Sara, don’t be like us. Do what you like and follow what you believe in,” he said.

Speaking about child-centric films, Suriya recalled his fondness for movies such as Home Alone.

“I have always loved films like Home Alone that revolve around children. But I am not sure whether we are giving today’s children enough films like that. This film feels like a children’s film made in a way that adults can also enjoy,” he added.

Suriya Praises SS Rajamouli’s 25-Year Journey

Suriya also congratulated filmmaker SS Rajamouli on completing 25 years in the film industry and acknowledged his contribution to taking Indian cinema to a global audience.

“SS Rajamouli completing 25 years in the industry is a huge achievement. I call him Sir out of respect. I once jokingly said that he is my senior. His cameo in Kalki 2898 AD was fantastic.

He has inspired so many people through his conviction, hard work, storytelling and ability to engage audiences on a massive scale. He has played a major role in giving Indian cinema global recognition. I am eagerly waiting to see what he is going to create with Varanasi,” Suriya said.

‘Don’t Trouble The Trouble’ – A Different Approach to Filmmaking

Speaking about the title and the film’s filmmaking philosophy, Suriya said the project represents an attempt to challenge conventional approaches to cinema.

“The idea of making films without following the usual methods and constantly trying something new is what I associate with Don’t Trouble The Trouble. The title itself reflects that spirit,” he said.

Suriya also appreciated the efforts of the producer, actors and technicians, noting that everyone involved had pushed themselves beyond their limits in their respective departments.

“I believe this film will offer audiences a wide range of emotions. Everyone involved has put in tremendous effort, and I am confident that the film will provide a different experience to viewers,” he said.

Concluding his speech, Suriya urged audiences to experience the film in theatres with their loved ones.

“I request everyone to watch Don’t Trouble The Trouble with your family and loved ones in theatres on October 2,” he said.

With its distinctive premise, emotional elements, child-centric appeal and an ensemble of talented artists and technicians, Don’t Trouble The Trouble is gearing up for its theatrical release on October 2.
