A new and exciting collaboration has taken shape in Tamil cinema as Passion Studios, known for backing quality content-driven films, joins hands with H. Vinoth’s Aspire Ubuntu Films to produce ‘Almost Nallavan’, a unique entertainer that promises a refreshing theatrical experience.
Marking a significant milestone in his career, actor, writer, and Bigg Boss Tamil Season 5 winner Raju Jeyamohan is making his directorial debut with the film. He has not only written and directed the project but also stars in the lead role. Veteran actor Sathyaraj plays a pivotal character, while Dushara Vijayan, Imman Annachi, Bigg Boss fame Thamarai Selvi, theatre artiste Yazhini, and Pritham Chakravarthy are part of the ensemble cast.

The film was officially launched with a traditional pooja ceremony on July 6, 2026. Speaking at the launch, producer Sudhan Sundaram said that collaborating with storytellers who are passionate about bringing fresh narratives to the screen is always rewarding.
He revealed that the moment Raju Jeyamohan narrated the script, he was convinced it would entertain audiences with its natural humour and relatable storytelling. According to him, the film reflects the culture and lifestyle of Tamil soil while delivering a complete family entertainer that will appeal to viewers across all age groups.

Director-actor Raju Jeyamohan shared that the title Almost Nallavan perfectly represents the central idea of the film.
He explained that every human being possesses both strengths and flaws. In today’s digital era, many people lead two lives—one in reality and another on social media. Over time, some even begin believing that their online identity is their true self. The film revolves around the unexpected events that unfold in the life of such an individual.
Raju also expressed his happiness about sharing screen space with Sathyaraj and Dushara Vijayan, while thanking producers Sudhan Sundaram and H. Vinoth for believing in his vision from the very beginning.
He further revealed that rising music composer Fakxon, who has been delivering several chart-topping tracks, has composed the music for the film and described the soundtrack as one of the movie’s biggest strengths.
Experienced Technical Team
The film’s cinematography is handled by T.S. Prasanna, who has previously worked as an associate cinematographer with Vijay Karthik Kannan on films such as Jailer, Doctor, and Jailer 2.
Bala Jayapradha makes his debut as the production designer, while action choreography is by Om. Editing is handled by Govind, known for his work in 96 and Meiyazhagan. Costume design is by Jefferson and Raji Thenappan, while Knack Studios is taking care of the film’s VFX.
