‘நந்தா’வுக்கு பிறகு என் மனதிற்கு நெருக்கமான படம் ‘என்ன விலை’ – கருணாஸ் நெகிழ்ச்சி!

பல சர்வதேச திரைப்பட விழாக்களில் கவனம் பெற்று, 13-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட விருது விழாக்களில் அங்கீகாரம் பெற்றுள்ள ‘என்ன விலை’ திரைப்படம், தற்போது தமிழ் ரசிகர்களின் பார்வைக்காக தயாராகியுள்ளது. தேசிய விருது பெற்ற இயக்குநர் சஜீவ் பழூர் எழுதி இயக்கியுள்ள இந்த திரைப்படம் செப்டம்பர் 17-ஆம் தேதி திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாகிறது.

கலாமயா சினிவெர்ஸ் நிறுவனம் சார்பில் ஜித்தேஷ் விஸ்வம்பரன் மற்றும் அனுகோபால் வேணுகோபாலன் இணைந்து தயாரித்துள்ள இப்படத்தில் கருணாஸ் மற்றும் நிமிஷா சஜயன் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரங்களில் நடித்துள்ளனர். ராமேஸ்வரத்தை பின்னணியாகக் கொண்டு உருவாகியுள்ள இப்படத்தின் டிரெய்லர் வெளியீட்டு விழா சென்னையில் நடைபெற்றது.

விழாவில் பேசிய படக்குழுவினர், ‘என்ன விலை’ ஒரு சாதாரண திரைப்படமாக இல்லாமல், இதுவரை இந்திய சினிமாவில் பெரிதாக பேசப்படாத ஒரு முக்கியமான கேள்வியை முன்வைக்கும் படைப்பாக இருக்கும் என நம்பிக்கை தெரிவித்தனர்.

படத்தின் தயாரிப்பாளர் ஜித்தேஷ் விஸ்வம்பரன் பேசுகையில், “இந்தப் படத்திற்காக படக்குழுவினருடன் ராமேஸ்வரம் மக்களும் மிகுந்த உழைப்பை வழங்கியுள்ளனர். பல விஷயங்களில் இந்த படம் ஒரு முன்னுதாரணமாக இருக்கும். எங்களின் உழைப்புக்கான அங்கீகாரத்தை ரசிகர்கள் வழங்குவார்கள் என்று நம்புகிறோம்,” என்றார்.

இப்படத்தின் இயக்குநர் சஜீவ் பழூர், சிறிய கருவிலிருந்து உருவாகும் கதைகள் தான் தன்னை அதிகம் ஈர்ப்பதாக கூறினார். “தமிழ் மொழி மீது எனக்கு மிகுந்த ஈடுபாடு உள்ளது. அதனால் தான் தமிழில் ‘என்ன விலை’ திரைப்படத்தை இயக்க வேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணம் வந்தது. படம் பார்த்துவிட்டு உங்கள் கருத்துகளை சொல்லுங்கள்,” என்றார்.

படத்தில் நடித்த நடிகர்கள் கான்ஸ்டபிள் சுந்தரம், பிரதீப், தர்ஷன், நிரோஷா, கவி, பாண்டி மற்றும் சாஷா ஆகியோர் தங்களுக்கு இந்த படத்தில் வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்தது குறித்து நெகிழ்ச்சியுடன் பேசினர். குறிப்பாக, இப்படம் பல்வேறு நாடுகளில் நடைபெற்ற திரைப்பட விழாக்களில் திரையிடப்பட்டு விருதுகளை வென்றிருப்பது படக்குழுவினருக்கு பெரும் உற்சாகத்தை அளித்துள்ளதாக அவர்கள் தெரிவித்தனர்.

நடிகை சாஷா பேசுகையில், “கிராமத்து பின்னணியில் உருவாகும் கதையில் நடிக்க வேண்டும் என்பது என் நீண்ட நாள் ஆசை. அந்த ஆசையை ‘என்ன விலை’ நிறைவேற்றியுள்ளது. ராமேஸ்வரத்தில் படப்பிடிப்பு நடைபெற்றபோது அனைவரும் கடுமையாக உழைத்தோம். இப்போது ரசிகர்களுடன் சேர்ந்து இந்த படத்தை கொண்டாட காத்திருக்கிறோம்,” என்றார்.

நடிகர் பாண்டி, தனது திரைப்பயணத்தில் ஒரு முக்கியமான திருப்புமுனையை இந்த படம் ஏற்படுத்தும் என நம்பிக்கை தெரிவித்தார். “‘பசங்க’, ‘கோலி சோடா’ படங்களுக்குப் பிறகு எனக்கு தனித்த அடையாளத்தை ஏற்படுத்தும் ஒரு கதாபாத்திரத்திற்காக காத்திருந்தேன். அந்த எதிர்பார்ப்பை ‘என்ன விலை’ நிறைவேற்றும் என்று நம்புகிறேன்,” என்றார்.

விழாவின் முக்கிய அம்சமாக நடிகர் கருணாஸ் பேசியது அமைந்தது. தனது இருபது ஆண்டுகால திரைப்பயணத்தில் நிறைவேறாமல் இருந்த ஒரு ஆசையை ‘என்ன விலை’ நிறைவேற்றியுள்ளதாக அவர் நெகிழ்ச்சியுடன் தெரிவித்தார்.

“2001-ஆம் ஆண்டு ராமேஸ்வரத்தில் பாலா அண்ணன் இயக்கிய ‘நந்தா’ படத்தின் மூலம் என் திரைப்பயணத்தை தொடங்கினேன். அந்த ஊரிலேயே இப்போது மீண்டும் ஒரு முக்கியமான படத்தில் நடித்திருப்பது எனக்கு உணர்வுப்பூர்வமான அனுபவம். மலையாள சினிமாவை நான் மிகவும் விரும்பிப் பார்ப்பேன். மலையாள எழுத்தாளர்கள், இயக்குநர்கள் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்பக் கலைஞர்களுடன் இணைந்து பணியாற்ற வேண்டும் என்பது என் நீண்ட நாள் ஆசை. அது இந்தப் படத்தின் மூலம் நிறைவேறியுள்ளது,” என்றார் கருணாஸ்.

மேலும் அவர் பேசுகையில், “இது சாமானிய மக்களின் வாழ்க்கையை பேசும் படம். அதனால் தான் கதாபாத்திரங்களுக்கு பொருத்தமான இயல்பான நடிகர்களை இயக்குநர் தேர்வு செய்துள்ளார். தற்போது எனக்கு பெரிய வணிக மதிப்பு இல்லாத நிலையிலும், என்னை நம்பி தயாரிப்பாளர்கள் சுமார் ஏழு கோடி ரூபாய் முதலீடு செய்துள்ளனர். அந்த அளவுக்கு அவர்களுக்கு இந்தக் கதையின் மீது நம்பிக்கை இருந்திருக்கிறது,” என்றார்.

இந்திய சினிமாவில் இதுவரை யாரும் முன்வைக்காத ஒரு கேள்வியை இயக்குநர் சஜீவ் பழூர் இந்த படத்தில் எழுப்பியுள்ளதாகவும் கருணாஸ் தெரிவித்தார்.

நிமிஷா சஜயன் நடித்துள்ள வழக்கறிஞர் கதாபாத்திரம் படத்தின் முக்கியமான பலமாக இருக்கும் என்றும் அவர் பாராட்டினார். “ஒவ்வொரு கதாபாத்திரத்திற்கும் பொருத்தமான நடிகர்களை இயக்குநர் மிகத் துல்லியமாக தேர்வு செய்துள்ளார். ‘நந்தா’ படத்திற்கு பிறகு என் மனதிற்கு மிகவும் நெருக்கமான திரைப்படம் ‘என்ன விலை’,” என்று அவர் கூறினார்.

தனது நடிப்பைப் பார்த்து தனது மனைவி முதன்முறையாக பாராட்டிய திரைப்படமும் இதுதான் என கருணாஸ் பகிர்ந்துகொண்டார். நிமிஷா சஜயனும் தனது நடிப்பைப் பார்த்து உணர்ச்சிவசப்பட்டு பாராட்டியதாக அவர் குறிப்பிட்டார்.

திரையரங்க வெளியீட்டிற்கு முன்பே முன்னணி ஓடிடி தளமான நெட்ஃபிலிக்ஸ் இப்படத்தின் டிஜிட்டல் உரிமையை கைப்பற்றியிருப்பது படக்குழுவினருக்கு கூடுதல் மகிழ்ச்சியை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

பல சர்வதேச அங்கீகாரங்களையும் விருதுகளையும் பெற்றுள்ள ‘என்ன விலை’, தற்போது ரசிகர்களின் இறுதி தீர்ப்பை எதிர்நோக்கி காத்திருக்கிறது. செப்டம்பர் 17 முதல் திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாகும் இந்த திரைப்படம், கருணாஸின் திரைப்பயணத்தில் மற்றுமொரு முக்கியமான படமாக அமையுமா என்ற எதிர்பார்ப்பு திரையுலகில் எழுந்துள்ளது.

‘Enna Vilai’ Trailer Out: Karunas Calls It His Most Personal Film After ‘Nandha’

National Award-winning filmmaker Sajeev Pazhoor’s Tamil film ‘Enna Vilai’ is gearing up for its theatrical release on September 17. Starring Karunas and Nimisha Sajayan in prominent roles, the film has already made its presence felt at several international film festivals, winning recognition at 13 award events.

Produced by Jithesh Viswambharan and Anugopal Venugopalan under the banner of Kalamaya Cineverse, the film is set against the backdrop of Rameswaram. The trailer was unveiled at a special event attended by the cast and crew.

What makes the film particularly special for actor Karunas is that it brings together several long-standing aspirations of his as an actor.

Speaking at the trailer launch, Karunas recalled that his journey in cinema began in 2001 with Bala’s Nandha, which was also shot in Rameswaram.

“I started my journey in cinema in 2001 in Rameswaram, playing Lodukku Pandian in Bala anna’s Nandha. I have always been a great admirer of Malayalam cinema and wanted to work with Malayalam writers, directors and technicians at least once. That wish has finally come true with this film,” Karunas said.

Describing Enna Vilai as a film about ordinary people, Karunas said the director deliberately chose performers who could bring a natural quality to their characters.

“This is a film about common people, which is why the director has chosen actors who can perform naturally. Even though I don’t have a huge market today, the producers have invested around Rs 7 crore in this film because they strongly believe in the story,” he said.

Karunas also revealed that the film raises a question that, according to him, Indian cinema has never explored in this manner before.

“The director has raised a question in this film that, to my knowledge, has never been raised before in Indian cinema. This film has fulfilled a dream I have had for nearly 20 years,” he added.

He had special praise for Nimisha Sajayan, who plays an advocate in the film.

“Nimisha has done an amazing job as the advocate. The director has brilliantly chosen the right actors for every character,” Karunas said.

Calling Enna Vilai one of the films closest to his heart, he added, “After Nandha, this is the film that is closest to my heart.”

Karunas also shared a personal moment from his experience with the film, revealing that his wife praised his performance for the first time after watching the movie.

Interestingly, the film has already secured a digital release deal with Netflix even before its theatrical release, adding to the excitement surrounding the project.

Director Sajeev Pazhoor said that he has always been drawn to stories that grow from simple ideas.

“Films such as Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom, Soodhu Kavvum and Pannaiyarum Padminiyum grew from small ideas into stories. I have a great love for the Tamil language, and that is one of the reasons I made Enna Vilai in Tamil. Watch the film and tell us what you think,” the director said.

The supporting cast, including Constable Sundaram, Pradeep, Darshan, Nirosha, Kavi, Pandi and Sasha, also expressed their gratitude to the director and producers for giving them an opportunity in the film.

Sasha, who plays Manimegalai, the hero’s younger sister, said that working in a rural-based story had been a long-time dream of hers.

“I always wanted to act in a rural story, and Enna Vilai has fulfilled that dream. The film was shot in Rameswaram, and everyone worked extremely hard. The film has already won awards at 13 film festivals. We are now waiting to celebrate it with audiences in theatres,” she said.

With its festival recognition, strong performances and a story that promises to raise an important question, Enna Vilai is now awaiting its biggest test — the response from Tamil audiences.
