25 ஆண்டுகால திரைப்பயணத்தில் புதிய மைல்கல் – கருணாஸின் ‘என்ன விலை’ செப்டம்பர் 17ல் திரைக்கு வருகிறது
தமிழ் சினிமாவில் நகைச்சுவை நடிகராக அறிமுகமாகி, பின்னர் குணச்சித்திரம் மற்றும் அழுத்தமான கதாபாத்திரங்கள் என தனது நடிப்பின் எல்லைகளை விரிவுபடுத்தியவர் கருணாஸ். திரையுலகில் அவர் கால்பதித்து 25 ஆண்டுகள் நிறைவடையும் நிலையில், அவரது நடிப்பில் உருவாகியுள்ள ‘என்ன விலை’ திரைப்படம் செப்டம்பர் 17ஆம் தேதி திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாகிறது.
ஒரு நடிகரின் 25 ஆண்டுகால பயணத்தில் பல படங்கள் இடம்பெறலாம். ஆனால், தனது நீண்டகால திரைப்பயணத்தில் இப்படியொரு கதையை எதிர்பார்த்திருந்ததாக கருணாஸ் கூறுவது ‘என்ன விலை’ படத்தின் மீதான அவரது நம்பிக்கையை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது.
தேசிய விருது பெற்ற இயக்குநர் சஜீவ் பழூர் எழுதி இயக்கியுள்ள இப்படம், சாதாரண மனிதர்களின் வாழ்க்கையையும், அவர்கள் எதிர்கொள்ளும் போராட்டங்களையும் மையமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது. சுயமரியாதை, நம்பிக்கை மற்றும் மனித உணர்வுகளை அழுத்தமாக பேசும் கதையாக இப்படம் உருவாகியுள்ளது.
இயக்குநர் சஜீவ் பழூர் கதை சொன்னபோதே இப்படத்தில் நடிக்க சம்மதித்ததாகக் கூறும் கருணாஸ், “கடந்த 25 ஆண்டுகளாக இப்படியொரு படத்திற்காகவும், இப்படிப்பட்ட ஒரு படக்குழுவிற்காகவும் காத்திருந்தேன்” என்கிறார்.
திரைப்பட விழாக்களில் அங்கீகாரம் கிடைப்பது ஒரு படைப்பாளிக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியையும் ஊக்கத்தையும் அளித்தாலும், இறுதியில் ஒரு திரைப்படம் மக்களிடம் சென்று சேர வேண்டும் என்பதே முக்கியம் என கருணாஸ் தெரிவித்துள்ளார். அந்த வகையில், மக்களின் அன்றாட வாழ்க்கைக்கு நெருக்கமான கதைக்களத்துடன் உருவாகியுள்ள ‘என்ன விலை’, பார்வையாளர்களுடன் உணர்வுப்பூர்வமான தொடர்பை ஏற்படுத்தும் என்ற எதிர்பார்ப்பு உருவாகியுள்ளது.
கலாமயா சினிவெர்ஸ் சார்பில் ஜித்தேஷ் விஸ்வம்பரன் மற்றும் அனுகோபால் வேணுகோபாலன் இணைந்து தயாரித்துள்ள இப்படத்தில் நிமிஷா சஜயன், கருணாஸ், விஜயலட்சுமி, பூர்ணிமா பாக்யராஜ், ஒய்.ஜி. மகேந்திரன், மொட்டை ராஜேந்திரன், நிழல்கள் ரவி, சித்தா தர்ஷன், மோகன் ராம், சேத்தன் குமார், கவிதாலயா கிருஷ்ணன், கமலேஷ், கோலி சோடா பாண்டி, ஜே.எஸ். கவி, சுவாமிநாதன், தீபா சங்கர், கவி நக்கலைட்ஸ் உள்ளிட்ட பலர் நடித்துள்ளனர்.

ஏற்கனவே பல்வேறு சர்வதேச திரைப்பட விழாக்களில் திரையிடப்பட்டு பாராட்டுகளைப் பெற்றுள்ள ‘என்ன விலை’, தற்போது திரையரங்க வெளியீட்டுக்குத் தயாராகியுள்ளது. கருணாஸின் 25 ஆண்டுகால திரைப்பயணத்தில் ஒரு வித்தியாசமான பதிவாக அமையும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படும் இப்படம், செப்டம்பர் 17ஆம் தேதி திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாகிறது.
Karunas Marks 25 Years in Cinema with ‘Enna Vilai’; Film to Hit Theatres on September 17
Actor Karunas, who began his journey in Tamil cinema as a comedian and gradually established himself as a versatile performer across comedy, character-driven and emotionally intense roles, is set to mark 25 years in the film industry with his upcoming movie ‘Enna Vilai’. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on September 17.
Over the course of a 25-year career, an actor may take on several memorable roles, but Karunas says ‘Enna Vilai’ holds a special place in his journey. According to the actor, he had been waiting for a film and a team like this for a long time.
Written and directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Sajeev Pazhoor, ‘Enna Vilai’ revolves around the lives of ordinary people and the challenges they face. The film explores themes such as self-respect, hope and human emotions, presenting a story that is rooted in the realities of everyday life.
Speaking about the film, Karunas said that he immediately agreed to be part of the project when director Sajeev Pazhoor narrated the story to him.
“Over the past 25 years, I have been waiting for a film like this and for a team like this. When director Sajeev Pazhoor narrated the story to me, I immediately agreed to be a part of it. It is a beautiful and emotional story, and the entire team has done an excellent job,” said Karunas.
The actor also believes that while awards and recognition at film festivals are encouraging, the ultimate purpose of a film is to connect with audiences. With its focus on the struggles, dignity and aspirations of ordinary people, ‘Enna Vilai’ is expected to strike an emotional chord with viewers.
Produced by Jithesh Viswambharan and Anugopal Venugopalan under the banner of Kalamaya Ciniverses, the film features Nimisha Sajayan, Karunas, Vijayalakshmi, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Y. G. Mahendran, Motta Rajendran, Nizhalgal Ravi, Siddha Darshan, Mohan Ram, Chethan Kumar, Kavithalaya Krishnan, Kamalesh, Goli Soda Pandi, J.S. Kavi, Swaminathan, Deepa Shankar and Kavi Nakkalites, among others.
Alby Antony is the cinematographer, while Sam C.S. has composed the music. Sreejith Sarang is the editor and Tapas Nayak has handled the sound design.
‘Enna Vilai’ has already been screened and appreciated at several international film festivals. The film is now gearing up for its theatrical release and is expected to be a significant milestone in Karunas’ 25-year journey in cinema.
