இளையராஜா குரலில் டி.ஆர். இசை… பாக்யராஜ்–பூர்ணிமாவின் 35 ஆண்டுக்குப் பிறகான திரை இணைவு
தமிழ் சினிமாவில் சில கூட்டணிகள் நிகழ்வாக மட்டுமல்லாமல், ரசிகர்களுக்கு எதிர்பார்ப்பை ஏற்படுத்தும் தருணங்களாகவும் மாறிவிடும். அந்த வரிசையில், இசைஞானி இளையராஜா முதன்முறையாக டி. ராஜேந்தர் இசையில் பாடியிருக்கும் ‘கன்னடத்து பைங்கிளி’ திரைப்படம் கவனம் ஈர்த்துள்ளது.
‘சிங்கம் புலி’, ‘மொட்ட சிவா கெட்ட சிவா’ உள்ளிட்ட படங்களை இயக்கிய சாய் ரமணி எழுதி இயக்கியிருக்கும் இப்படத்தை, எம்.பி.எம். எண்டர்டெயின்மெண்ட் சார்பில் இந்துமதி கோபி தயாரிக்க, ஆர். கோபி வழங்குகிறார்.
டி.ஆர். இசையில் இளையராஜா
பாடல், இசை, நடிப்பு, இயக்கம் என பன்முக திறமையால் தனக்கென தனி அடையாளத்தை உருவாக்கிய டி. ராஜேந்தர் இப்படத்திற்கு இசையமைத்துள்ளார். அவரது இசையில், இளையராஜா முதல் முறையாக பாடியிருப்பது படத்தின் முக்கியமான சிறப்பம்சங்களில் ஒன்றாக அமைந்துள்ளது.

திருமணமான தம்பதியான இருவரும் சுமார் 35 ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு மீண்டும் ஒரே படத்தில் இணைந்து நடித்துள்ளனர். அதுவும் படத்தில் கணவன்–மனைவியாகவே தோன்றுகின்றனர்.
மேலும், சமீபத்தில் மறைந்த கே. பாக்யராஜ் நடித்த கடைசி திரைப்படமாகவும் ‘கன்னடத்து பைங்கிளி’ அமைந்துள்ளது. இதில் கதாநாயகனின் தந்தை கதாபாத்திரத்தில் படம் முழுவதும் இடம்பெறும் முக்கியமான வேடத்தில் பாக்யராஜ் நடித்துள்ளார்.

1990களின் ஓசூர்… உண்மைச் சம்பவத்தின் பின்னணியில் கதை
தமிழ்நாடு–கர்நாடகா எல்லைப் பகுதியான ஓசூரை மையமாகக் கொண்டு 1990களில் நடைபெற்ற உண்மைச் சம்பவம் ஒன்றை அடிப்படையாக வைத்து இப்படத்தின் கதை உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக இயக்குநர் சாய் ரமணி தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
இந்தப் பின்னணியில் உருவாகும் கதையில் புதுமுகங்களான அமல் அஜித் மற்றும் ஆதியா ஆகியோர் முதன்மை கதாபாத்திரங்களில் நடித்துள்ளனர்.
சிங்கம் புலி, புகழ், ஆதவன், லொள்ளு சபா ஜீவா உள்ளிட்ட நடிகர்கள் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரங்களில் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளனர்.
யூடியூபர்களுக்கும் வெள்ளித்திரை அறிமுகம்
சமூக வலைதளங்களில் பிரபலமான ஐந்து யூடியூபர்களும் ‘கன்னடத்து பைங்கிளி’ மூலம் சினிமாவில் அறிமுகமாகின்றனர்.
கூமாபட்டி தங்கபாண்டி, ஆட்டோக்காரன் தீபக், இடியாப்பம் சிவா உள்ளிட்ட யூடியூபர்கள் இப்படத்தில் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரங்களில் நடித்துள்ளனர். தெலுங்கில் அறிமுகமான நடிகர் ஸ்ரீகாந்த் ஐயங்காரும் இப்படத்தின் மூலம் தமிழ் சினிமாவில் அறிமுகமாகிறார். கர்நாடகாவைச் சேர்ந்த ஸ்வேதா என்ற நடிகையும் படத்தில் அறிமுகமாகிறார்.
‘பேராண்மை’, ‘மீகாமன்’, ‘வாகா’ உள்ளிட்ட படங்களுக்கு ஒளிப்பதிவு செய்த எஸ்.ஆர். சதீஷ் குமார் இப்படத்திற்கும் கேமரா பணியை மேற்கொண்டுள்ளார். சண்டைக் காட்சிகளுக்கு பவர் பாண்டியன் பயிற்சி அளித்துள்ளார்.
படப்பிடிப்பு முழுமையாக நிறைவடைந்துள்ள நிலையில், தற்போது இறுதிக்கட்ட பணிகள் நடைபெற்று வருகின்றன. படத்தின் ஃபர்ஸ்ட் லுக் மற்றும் டைட்டில் போஸ்டர் விரைவில் வெளியாகும் என படக்குழு தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

Ilaiyaraaja Sings for the First Time in T. Rajendar’s Music; Bhagyaraj and Poornima Reunite After 35 Years
Some film collaborations become noteworthy even before a movie reaches theatres. Kannadathu Paingili is one such project, bringing together several interesting firsts and reunions.
Written and directed by Sai Ramani, who has previously helmed films such as Singam Puli and Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva, the film is produced by Indhumathi Gopi under the banner of MBM Entertainment and presented by R. Gopi.
One of the major highlights of the film is the coming together of two legendary names in Tamil music. T. Rajendar has composed the music for Kannadathu Paingili, and for the first time, music maestro Ilaiyaraaja has lent his voice to a song composed by him.
Bhagyaraj and Poornima Back Together After 35 Years
The film also holds special significance as it features late actor and filmmaker K. Bhagyaraj in what has become his final film appearance.
Bhagyaraj plays the protagonist’s father, a character that remains an important part of the story throughout the film. Interestingly, Kannadathu Paingili marks the only film in which T. Rajendar and K. Bhagyaraj have worked together.
Adding another nostalgic touch, Bhagyaraj and his wife, actress Poornima Bhagyaraj, have shared the screen again after nearly 35 years. The couple will also be seen playing husband and wife in the film.
A Story Rooted in a Real Incident
Set against the backdrop of Hosur, located on the Tamil Nadu–Karnataka border, the film is based on a real incident that took place in the region during the 1990s, according to director Sai Ramani.
Newcomers Amal Ajith and Aadhya play the lead roles, while Singam Puli, Pugazh, Aadhavan and Lollu Sabha Jeeva are among those appearing in important roles.
Popular YouTubers Make Their Film Debut
The film also marks the big-screen debut of five popular YouTubers, including Koomapatti Thangapandi, Autokaaran Deepak and Idiyappam Siva.
Telugu actor Srikkanth Iyengar, who is known for his work in Telugu cinema, is also making his Tamil debut with the film. Actress Swetha from Karnataka is another newcomer to the project.
Cinematography is handled by S.R. Sathish Kumar, known for films including Peranmai, Meaghamann and Vaagai. Action choreography is by Power Pandian.
The entire shoot has been completed and the film is currently in its final stages of post-production. The first-look title poster of Kannadathu Paingili is expected to be unveiled soon.
With Ilaiyaraaja singing under T. Rajendar’s musical direction, Bhagyaraj and Poornima returning to the screen together after three-and-a-half decades, and a story inspired by a real incident from 1990s Hosur, Kannadathu Paingili has several elements that have already sparked curiosity among film audiences.
