90ஸ் கிட்ஸ் கல்யாணக் கஷ்டம் முதல் ‘மிடில் கிளாஸ் மாப்பிள்ளை’ வரை – பிரபு ஏகாம்பரம் சொல்லும் நகைச்சுவைக் கதை!

சென்னை: ஒரு காலத்தில் குடும்பத்தின் விருப்பம், உறவினர்களின் எதிர்பார்ப்பு என திருமணம் தொடர்பான முடிவுகள் எளிதாக நடந்துவிடும். ஆனால், இன்றைய 90ஸ் கிட்ஸ் தலைமுறைக்கு திருமணத்துக்குப் பெண் தேடுவது என்பது தனி போராட்டமாகவே மாறிவிட்டது. வேலை, சம்பளம், எதிர்பார்ப்புகள், குடும்ப சூழல் என ஒவ்வொன்றாகப் பார்த்து வாழ்க்கைத் துணையைத் தேர்வு செய்யும் இந்த தலைமுறையின் சிக்கல்களை மையமாக வைத்து உருவாகி வருகிறது ‘மிடில் கிளாஸ் மாப்பிள்ளை’ (MCM) திரைப்படம்.

ஆன்ஷ்வா புரொடக்ஷன்ஸ் தயாரிப்பில் உருவாகும் இப்படத்தை பிரபு ஏகாம்பரம் எழுதி, இயக்கி, கதாநாயகனாகவும் நடித்துள்ளார். முன்னணி சர்வதேச ஐடி நிறுவனங்களில் பணியாற்றிய இவர், சினிமா மீதான ஆர்வத்தால் தனது முதல் படைப்பை உருவாக்கியுள்ளார்.

இப்படத்தில் ஹரிபிரியா கதாநாயகியாக நடிக்கிறார். ஷீபா கிறிஸ்டி, அருள் டி. ஷங்கர், எலிசபெத் உள்ளிட்டோர் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரங்களில் இடம்பெறுகின்றனர்.

90ஸ் கிட்ஸ் எதிர்கொள்ளும் திருமணச் சிக்கல்களை வெறும் நகைச்சுவையாக மட்டும் இல்லாமல், நடுத்தர வர்க்க குடும்பங்களின் அன்றாட வாழ்க்கையோடு தொடர்புபடுத்தி சொல்லும் வகையில் இப்படம் உருவாகி வருவதாக இயக்குநர் பிரபு ஏகாம்பரம் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

“90ஸ் கிட்ஸ் சந்திக்கும் பல்வேறு சிக்கல்களில், குறிப்பாக திருமணத்திற்கு பெண் தேடும்போது அவர்கள் எதிர்கொள்ளும் பிரச்சினைகள் பலருக்கும் நெருக்கமானதாக இருக்கும். அந்த அனுபவங்களை சுவாரசியமான திரைக்கதையுடன் சொல்லும் படமாக ‘மிடில் கிளாஸ் மாப்பிள்ளை’ உருவாகி வருகிறது. நடுத்தர குடும்பங்களின் வாழ்க்கை மற்றும் அவர்களின் எதிர்பார்ப்புகளை இயல்பாக திரையில் பிரதிபலிக்க முயற்சி செய்திருக்கிறோம்,” என அவர் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

படத்தின் தொழில்நுட்பக் குழுவில் ரஷாந்த் ஆர்வின் இசையமைப்பாளராகவும், அபிஷேக் ஒளிப்பதிவாளராகவும் பணியாற்றுகின்றனர். படத்தொகுப்பை சூரிய முருகன் மேற்கொள்கிறார். பாடல்களை வி.ஜெ.பி. ரகுபதி எழுதியுள்ளார்.

‘மிடில் கிளாஸ் மாப்பிள்ளை’ திரைப்படத்தின் படப்பிடிப்பு முழுமையாக நிறைவடைந்துள்ளது. தற்போது போஸ்ட் புரொடக்ஷன் பணிகள் விறுவிறுப்பாக நடைபெற்று வருகின்றன. திரைப்படத்தை விரைவில் திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியிட படக்குழுவினர் திட்டமிட்டுள்ளனர்.

90ஸ் கிட்ஸின் திருமணப் போராட்டத்தை மையமாக வைத்து உருவாகியுள்ள இப்படம், நடுத்தர குடும்பங்களின் யதார்த்தமான வாழ்க்கையை நகைச்சுவையுடன் பதிவு செய்யும் படைப்பாக இருக்கும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.

90s Kids and Their Struggles to Find a Bride: Prabhu Ekambaram’s ‘Middle Class Mappillai’ Promises a Relatable Entertainer

Chennai: For many 90s kids, finding a life partner has become a journey filled with expectations, family pressures and plenty of challenges. Bringing this relatable experience to the big screen, ‘Middle Class Mappillai’ (MCM) is an upcoming Tamil film that explores the struggles faced by the 90s generation, particularly when it comes to finding the right bride.

Produced by Anshva Productions, the film is written, directed and headlined by Prabhu Ekambaram. Having previously worked with leading international IT companies, Prabhu Ekambaram has ventured into cinema driven by his passion for filmmaking.

The film features Haripriya as the female lead, while Sheeba Christie, Arul T. Shankar and Elizabeth play prominent roles.

Speaking about the film, director and lead actor Prabhu Ekambaram said that ‘Middle Class Mappillai’ will present the struggles of 90s kids, especially the difficulties they face while looking for a bride, in an entertaining and relatable manner.

“The challenges faced by 90s kids, particularly when it comes to finding a bride, are something many will be able to relate to. Through this film, we have tried to portray the everyday life, emotions and expectations of middle-class families in a natural and engaging way,” said Prabhu Ekambaram.

The technical crew includes Rashanth Arwin as the music composer and Abhishek as the cinematographer. Suriya Murugan handles the editing, while V.J.P. Raghupathi has penned the songs.

Srujith, Naveen and Jayashankar are part of the direction team. Rabs Prasad serves as the Creative Director, while Ramesh Senthil and Praveen have worked on publicity design. Santhosh is the still photographer, and Nikhil Murugan handles the film’s public relations.

The shooting of ‘Middle Class Mappillai’ has been completed, and the film is currently in the post-production stage. The makers are working towards releasing the film soon.

With its focus on the aspirations, family dynamics and marriage-related struggles of the 90s generation, ‘Middle Class Mappillai’ is expected to offer a humorous and relatable take on the life of a middle-class man.
