திரையுலகில் புதிய தயாரிப்பு நிறுவனமாக களமிறங்கியுள்ள ‘தியாகராஜா டாக்கீஸ்’ நிறுவனத்தின் தொடக்க விழா சென்னையில் உற்சாகமாக நடைபெற்றது. இந்நிகழ்வில் திரையுலகைச் சேர்ந்த முன்னணி நடிகர்கள், இயக்குநர்கள் மற்றும் தயாரிப்பாளர்கள் கலந்துகொண்டு புதிய தயாரிப்பு நிறுவனத்திற்கு தங்களது வாழ்த்துகளைத் தெரிவித்தனர்.
தியாகராஜா டாக்கீஸ் நிறுவனம் தொடங்கியுள்ள குறிஞ்சி அண்ணா தனக்கு மிகவும் நெருக்கமானவர் என்று தெரிவித்த நடிகர் சூரி, “குறிஞ்சி அண்ணாவுக்கு திரைத்துறை மட்டுமின்றி பல்வேறு துறைகளிலும் ஏராளமான நண்பர்கள் இருக்கிறார்கள். அவர் தயாரிப்பு நிறுவனத்தைத் தொடங்குகிறார் என்று கேள்விப்பட்டபோது மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சியடைந்தேன். அவருக்கு என்னுடைய ஆதரவு எப்போதும் இருக்கும். இந்த நிறுவனம் 100-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட வெற்றிப் படங்களை வழங்க வேண்டும்” என்று வாழ்த்தினார்.
மேலும், நடிகர் ஜெய்யை சுமார் 20 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பே பார்த்ததாகவும், இன்றும் அவர் அதே இளமையான தோற்றத்துடன் இருப்பதாகவும் சூரி நகைச்சுவையுடன் குறிப்பிட்டார்.
நிகழ்வில் பேசிய நடிகர் ஜெய், தியாகராஜா டாக்கீஸ் நிறுவனத்தின் முதல் படத்தில் இடம்பெறுவது தனக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியளிப்பதாக தெரிவித்தார். “குறிஞ்சி அண்ணாவை நான் ‘ஜப்பான் குறிஞ்சி அண்ணா’ என்றுதான் அழைப்பேன். இந்த தயாரிப்பு நிறுவனம் வெற்றி பெற்றால், அது பல புதிய இயக்குநர்களுக்கு ஊக்கமாக அமையும். தங்களிடம் இருக்கும் கதைகளை திரைப்படமாக உருவாக்கி மக்களிடம் கொண்டு வருவதற்கான நம்பிக்கையை இது ஏற்படுத்தும்” என்றார்.
தயாரிப்பாளர் ஐசரி கே. கணேஷ் பேசும்போது, “குறிஞ்சிக்கும் எனக்கும் ஒரு ஒற்றுமை இருக்கிறது. நான் எனது தந்தையின் பெயரில் ‘வேல்ஸ்’ என்ற தயாரிப்பு நிறுவனத்தைத் தொடங்கினேன். அதேபோல், குறிஞ்சி தனது தந்தையின் பெயரில் ‘தியாகராஜா’ என்ற நிறுவனத்தைத் தொடங்கியுள்ளார். பெற்றோர்களை மதிப்பவர்கள் வாழ்க்கையில் மிகப்பெரிய உயரங்களை அடைவார்கள்” என்றார்.

The launch of Thiyagaraja Talkies, a new production house founded by Kurunji, was held in Chennai with the presence of several prominent names from the Tamil film industry. Actors, directors and producers extended their wishes to the new venture and expressed hope that the banner would go on to create successful and meaningful films.
Actor Soori, who shares a close bond with Kurunji, expressed his happiness over the launch and said that he would always stand by him. He highlighted Kurunji’s wide circle of friends across various fields and wished the new production house great success.
“I am very happy that Kurunji anna has started a production house. I will always support him. I wish Thiyagaraja Talkies delivers more than 100 successful films,” Soori said. He also shared a light-hearted moment about actor Jai, recalling that he had first seen him nearly 20 years ago and joking that Jai still looks the same.
Actor Jai, who is part of the first production from Thiyagaraja Talkies, thanked everyone for attending the event despite their busy schedules. He said that he was delighted to be associated with the banner’s debut film.
“I used to call Kurunji anna ‘Japan Kurunji anna.’ If this production house succeeds, it will inspire many more directors to bring their stories to audiences. I am very happy to be part of its first film,” Jai said.
Producer Ishari K. Ganesh drew a connection between his own production journey and Kurunji’s new venture. He pointed out that he had named his production house Vels after his father, while Kurunji had chosen the name Thiyagaraja in honour of his father.
“Those who respect and honour their parents will reach great heights in life,” Ishari K. Ganesh said. He added that Kurunji should have entered film production much earlier and wished the entire team success, while cautioning that production is a challenging field that requires careful planning and responsibility.
Director Venkat Prabhu also congratulated Kurunji on the launch of Thiyagaraja Talkies and extended his best wishes to the entire cast and crew. He expressed hope that the production house would achieve great success in the years ahead.
Director Sundar C. spoke about his long-standing association with Kurunji and described him as a very special person in his large circle of friends.
“I am extremely happy that Kurunji has started this production house. I just want to give one small piece of advice to the director. You have a great responsibility ahead of you, and there is a long journey ahead. My best wishes to the entire team,” Sundar C. said.
With a focus on bringing new stories and encouraging creative talent, Thiyagaraja Talkies has made a promising entry into film production. With strong support from several leading personalities in Tamil cinema, expectations are high for the production house’s upcoming projects.
